Good Coffee Maker with Design Flaws

Overall this coffee maker does a good job of making coffee at the right temp. That said the lid on top should be an embarrassment for a company as large as Cuisinart. The water that builds up on the underside creates surface tension that does not allow the lid to open when the unit is done brewing. I called Cuisinart and must admit their customer service is outstanding! The rep told me I had an early run model and they would ship me out the revised model that addressed the issue I was having. Received new model...same problem. The work around is you have to push up on the underside while pushing the button to open the lid. Certainly not as flawless as one would expect a new coffee maker to be. This one may look "cooler" than the prior model but the older ones simply worked better.
