Exceeds all expectations!

I recently needed to replace my old wok and did my research on-line. I was surprised by the specs on the Breville but, after reading very positive reviews on a variety of web sites, decided make my purchase. I have to say that I cannot recall ever being more pleased with a piece of kitchen equipment. It completely lives up to the specifications and is even more of a pleasure to work with than I had imagined. In fact, I am so pleased that I've already given two as gifts and have begun to explore other products in the Breville line. I ordered this Breville electric wok to replace my old Westbend wok. What a difference! This thing sears like like a wok is supposed to sear. It easily removes from the base for washing. The lid was fine for about a week, when it suddenly grew spider web cracks on every square inch, it looked like a shattered windshield. I called the 800 number for Breville customer service, they shipped a replacement cover that day, even though the warranty excludes glass parts. Breville customer service was outstanding!

Excellent Product

I absolutely love cooking with my new wok. I am not one to have lots of gadgets and small appliances. I have some great pans but I do have an electric stove. Trying to cook stir fry on the stove with a pan makes a big mess. This wok is wonderful to cook in, heats up quickly, and washes very easy. I can use metal spatulas, etc. because it is titanium. I have to restrain myself from using it every night because I don't want to get tired of eating stir fry!!! My husband loves the results and I love the whole process!

An excellent wok!

We are big fans of chinese food, but have never tried making our own stir fry before. We bought this after reading all the positive reviews online, and we couldn't be happier with it.

The wok was delivered quickly and was nicely packaged. For the low price I expected it to be cheaply made, but it is actually well very put together and should prove to be quite durable. It heats up fast and stays hot while cooking, and the non-stick surface is great for speedy cleanups. It came with a plastic spatula, but we also bought some wooden utensils for stiring. The instruction manual was helpful and an easy read.

We are still learning the art of stir fry, but this wok has made it much easier than we thought it would be. For making quick and healthy meals after a long day of work, you just can't beat the Breville wok!

Breville Wok - Excellent!!!!

Plus: Good size with a nice deep well. Heats evenly with a very nice temperature dial. Glass top is fun but the steam vent (which you control) is a bonus. Clean up is awesome with this non-stick surface

Cons: If I have one complaint its the weight of the entire unit. It's made so damn well that it alot heavier than my previous wok. However, that wok was a piece of crap. So in this case, heavy is not a bad thing. You set it up on the counter and that's it.

Fantastic electric Wok

A fantastic wok! We have been using it 2 or 3 times per week. Heats up
very quickly and gets very hot for searing meats and veggies.
Easy clean up with detachable base. Non-stick surface requires very
little oil - we use a touch mostly to add some flavor to ingredients.
Makes for a very fast one pot meal!

This is the second Breville Wok that I have purchased. When my grown son wanted to borrow mine, I bought him one as a gift. I knew that once he tried it I would have a hard time getting it back. I was right. He also loves his. This is the best wok I have ever owned.

excellent wok, prorfessional quality

This is an easy way to cook healthy food. It cooks better than a regular wok because it cooks evenly throughout the whole surface. It's hard to make a mistake! Cleanup is a breeze also with the detachable wok part of the product.

Wonderful!

I am a weekend gourmet who loves Asian food. I have had several woks and none were anywhere near as good as this one. I can actually stir fry in this one. The high heat setting really does a great job and the non-stick coating is a breeze to clean. Just make sure you use bamboo or teflon utensils when you are cooking. I love this wok because I can cook really tasty, low fat, flavorful meals in around fifteen minutes. Great product!
