I finally was able to buy a new set of pots after years of making do with a mish-mash collection. What a joy these are to use! They conduct the heat wonderfully and I have gas burners - no problem. Easy to clean and they look terrific.

Our 17 year marriage had outlived the 10 year warranty on our Analon set we got as a wedding gift. I saw what looked like a great deal on some Paula Deen cookware. My husband and I researched the product. In doing so we came across the Cuisinart stainless steel. We read dozens of reviews for 3 or 4 brands of pans. We learned a lot by the reviews: cook on low heat to avoid scorching or burning(we have an electric glass-top). We learned, too, that we expected too much out of our non-stick pans for frying eggs. We decided we will buy an inexpensive Teflon pan for frying eggs. When it starts to break down, just throw it away and buy anew one. Anyway, this Cuisinart set was on sale and has all the sizes I use and need. Recently I sprayed a pan with non-stick spray to cook sausages in. I got distracted and left it unattended before putting the meat in. I smelled a burning odor and discovered the non-stick spray had burned into the pan! It was completely black! I thought it was ruined. I tried to remove it by boiling dish-soap and 1 inch of water for 15 minutes. It wouldn't budge. My husband used Bar Keepers Friend. It took about an hour of diligent scrubbing, but he got the pan looking back to new! Way to go Cuisinart!
