The company uses only non-endangered, self-replenishing domestic species, such as hard maple and birch. This adjustable over-the-sink Cutting Board has pull-out plastic wires that adapt to fit almost any sink. It's a great help for cooks who need counter space, as it effectively turns the kitchen sink into a cutting surface. Extension wires extend an additional 3-inches.
Products offered by Catskill Craftsmen are made from naturally self-sustaining, non-endangered North American hardwoods, primarily birch and hard rock maple. Lumber is purchased from area sawmills, then dried, manufactured, and packaged on site. All sawdust, shavings and waste materials generated during the manufacturing process is converted into wood pellet fuel, and used to heat homes. Catskill Craftsmen operations generate no wood waste.

This cutting board was exactly what we were looking for to replace a (very) old one that we can't remember where we bought it. We could not find one like it anywhere else. It is adjustable to fit your sink perfectly without sliding.

We purchased this cutting board to replace the one we had. The old one was laminated and basically disintegrated. We are hoping the solid wood will hold up better. Also, after reading some of the reviews here, we did not have a problem with it fitting over our sink, just had to turn it in the other direction

I have been searching for this product unsuccessfully in several cooking stores.
I was delighted to find it available at cooking.com and I received it in just a couple
days. It is of better quality wood than my previous boards and I find using the over
the sink boards an efficient and convenient use of space.

This cutting board is exactly what I was looking for. It increases my counter/work space by extending it over the sink. It is wonderful to cut over the sink, as rinds, ends, etc. can be pushed off, directly down the garbage disposal. It is also quite good looking compared to other over-the-sink cutting boards that are made of plastic. It is a nice wide width, too. My only complaint is that it is too big, lengthwise. I had a neighbor use his saw to cut it shorter and then re-drilled holes for the handle so that it would fit into by sink.

This board does not work very well for my sink it moves and slips off making it not too safe to use as a cutting board when over the sink. The handle is easily removable and does not expand wide enough to hold on securely to a wide sink.

This is at least the third board we've purchased. They usually last 5 to 10 years with daily use. Only suggestion is that the board could be finished a little better.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Could not find it in any store anywhere. Oiled it as soon as I had opened it according to the enclosed instructions. Very easy and very quick. Bought 1 for myself and 1 for my mother. We are both very happy with this cutting board.

Most standard sinks are 14 inches. I had to trim about 3/16 inch off each end to make mine fit. Trimmed off each end as I was not sure how deep the holes for the bracket were. Need to cut them nominal size which is common. All in all a good concept and product. Just cut the width.

It doesn't fit my sink so I have to use it it like a regular cutting board. The metal frames are rather flimsy.

not as good as the one I bought years ago (which lasted 20 years. The wood is rough, the edges are not rounded, and the vinyl covering on the adjustable handles tore, enabling the wire to rust.

This item replaces one that I had had for many, many years. The old one had mildewed badly. The new one fits my sink (just barely) and so far it is working out well. I had a question about a strange smell which the manufacturing company told me is caused by an oil that is applied to keep the board from cracking or drying out. Their advice was to continue to oil the board from time to time. I did not see that on the instructions, however, when I received the item in the mail. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase.

This just fits in our sink and provides plenty of support. If your sink is a lot bigger, the pull-out extensions might not provide enough support. If your sink is a little smaller, you could use a table saw to shorten it and then re-drill the holes for the extension.

The cutting board is designed to fit a 14-inch STANDARD double sink and it is 14-inches wide exactly so it does not fit. I'm returning it.
