there was a small flaw on the cooking top where it might have been chipped or failed to form right. awsome other than that!

Decided to invest in a stone after several years of regular baking. This is a sturdy high-quality product and holds heat well. The first few batches of pizza have had large bubbles, cooked quickly, and had a good char. I do wish the stone was slightly larger. This is fine for a small household but I don't think the stone is big enough to hold 2 loaves of bread at the same time. The peel arrived with several dents due to poor packaging. Epicurious arranged a replacement. Though the peel is a nice shape and heft, the ash is very dry and will need regular oiling.

The pizza stone dies a wonderful job. It si of solid construcktion and quite heavy. The peel needed some sanding as it was not very smooth. All in all a good value.
