Fantastic Piazza tool

The pizza baking stone is fantastic if you like crusty pizza. I am so sorry I didn't buy one years ago. It is easy to use, easy to clean and stores right in the oven.

The peel does what it's supposed to do - it lets me transfer a hunk of dough to a hot baking stone without getting me burned or mangling the dough.

Better than a round stone.

If you need/want a pizza stone, then go for a rectangular one like this. They are more versatile and work better in ovens than a round stone.

great for bread

by Michael, MO
April 30, 2008

I bought this stone for bread rather than pizza, and it works extremely well. If it were a couple inches deeper and wider, it would be perfect.

great product

I'd often wondered if a pizza stone would make a diffenece for our Friday night homemade pizzas...our pizzas now are crisper and tastier. In the past we'd had problems with the pizza being soggy in the center. That is no longer a problem with the pizza stone.

Kitchen Supply Co pizza stone

by Timothy, CA
October 6, 2008

Kitchen Supply Co pizza stone did everything they said it would.

It heated to 500+ degrees with no ill affects, cleaned up with a non-stick cleaner, and put a nice crust on three pizzas in a row. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 rating (Five of Five) is because I was afraid to test drop it. It's made for baking, not dribbling.

Pizza Stone

by Linda, OR
October 12, 2008

I used to make pizza once every 4 or 5 months. Since I bought this pizza stone I make it every week. The bottom of the pizza is never soggy like before, it's done in only 10 minutes which my husband appreciates. I probably will not buy pizza again, preferring to make it with our own organic toppings.

First pizza peel

by Dennis, OR
November 2, 2008

This is the first pizza peel I have ever owned, and I think it works great! It seems to be built very sturdy, and is very large in size, so putting a large pizza on is no problem! It has a nice edge for scooping the pizza off the stone! The handle is nice, not to long, and not to short.

I would recommend this to anyone! It is affordable, and works great!

I investigated both stones and peels online. I also investigated the materials that made up the items. On sites with like items yours was the best price and materials were as advertised.

Nice stone

by Joe, NJ
December 21, 2008

Made pizza a few times so far, and we're very pleased with the stone. The only downside is cleaning the stone (which would really apply to any stone)....so be very careful to make a thich crust around the sides so that the sauce doesn't spill over. As a previous reviewer mentioned, I would also recommend the wooden peel for making the pizza, and a metal peel for taking it out of the oven...you need the sharp edge if you do have spillage. Would recommend to others.
