The Camerons 15x11-inch Stovetop Smoker is an excellent way to prepare meats and vegetables for a delicious alternative to baking, grilling or pan-frying. Use the stovetop smoker to create delicious meals quickly and effectively. Prepare smoked sausages, pork loin and similar soft meats using the stovetop tool. Add steamed carrots, asparagus or other healthy vegetables to your dinner selection using the same pan. The smoker is also useful for preparing meals to go; use it to hot-smoke a variety of meats and prepare them for later use as part of lunch on the trail.
So far I have tried cooking boneless chicken breasts and a bone-in turkey breast (with the help of aluminum foil as a cover). The smoky taste was a little milder in the turkey breast than I would have liked, but perhaps using more chips would help fix that. Both the chicken and the turkey came out succulent, moist and tender, but they did not brown at all.
The lack of browning is the only negative I have found thus far in using the smoker; I 'll experiment with pre-browning the chicken breasts next time, or plan to use in a recipe where it doesn't matter.
I found the smoker to be very easy to use, and I really like the idea of cooking without any added fat.
First saw this item being used on a cooking show ...and knew I had to have one. I had no expectations of this product, but after trying it, I was really glad I purchased it. I've tried chicken breasts, fish and vegetables (new potatoes,asparagus and tomatoes) so far. This smoker adds great flavor and the chicken breasts come out delicious and moist everytime! The fish is always cooked perfectly! ( and I always overcook fish!!) This smoker won't let you fail! The woodchips that come with it are just the right intensity to add great flavor to whatever you're cooking. The variety allows you freedom to experiment! The instruction/recipe book gives you simple and clear instructions, and offers suggestions on woodchip-flavor selection. If you remember to use the foil and spray the rack with oil as suggested, it makes the clean up really easy. Very little smoke escapes from the pan, but you may want to open up some windows and disconnect your smoke alarm if it's sensitive (like ours!) If you're cooking for more than 3-4 people, you might want to purchase more than one smoker. One holds about four medium chicken breasts and about four fish filets and probably two steaks. I've ordered another one so I can smoke vegetables and meat at the same time. This little $39.95 smoker has replaced our $700.00 gas grill !!!

I love this smoker I have used it 3 times ribs and pork roast. I only wish it would hold more you can barely squeeze 2 racks of ribs in it. If you like to Barbeque this gives your meat that perfect smokehouse flavor. Great alternative for those cold or rainy days when you don't want to go outside and grill. Can't wait to try some salmon and turkey in it. Also the price is very low for what this thing can to. If you want to smoke for more than 2 hours I recommend finishing it in the oven because I am not sure how much it can taked on straight flames. It's made out of a thin aluminum and burns the bottom pretty good. Even so it cleans up real easy.
Very high quality produc with substantial weight and feel. I also ordered the wood chips highlighted on the website, but the samples that came with the smoker were a "dust" like substance as opposed to the chips the website featured. The "dust" is easier to handle and process.
The smoker is easy to use. It would be nice to have additional recipes or smoking time guidelines for various types of food. I am pleased with the purchase and have used it frequently in the last 2 weeks.
This smoker is an excelent purchase. I was surprised at the quality of the product compared to the price. It is very durable and does a great job smoking meat. It was easy to use, and gave the meat a good flavor. It was also large enough to smoke a 4 lb. beef brisket, so it can handle large pieces of meat. I would recommend this smoker to anyone.
I was absolutely amazed! This stove-top smoker produces the most incredibly intense, smoked flavors I've ever tasted--in a tiny fraction of the time it normally takes to smoke food (12 minutes vs. 6 hours!). And clean up is a breeze. What a find! I've already purchased 6 more units to use as gifts for my favorite friends.
So far it is living up to it's hype of adding flavor to our food and easy to use. When using on a grill I would not recommend removing the grates and putting the smoker down into the grill as it gets extremely hot and is very difficult to remove.
I saw this smoker on tv, being used by Sir Emeril. I do not own an outdoor grill/smoker so I thought it would be interesting to try this product. My first concern was if it would smoke up the house. I was surprised, it did not. It keeps all the smoke inside, which gives the meat a very good smoky flavor. I have had this smoker for a week now and I have smoked shrimp/scallops kabobs and country spare ribs, and chilian sea bass. All of it came out wonderful. I was surprised that with such a small amount of wood chips it could do so much. This is now one of my favorite kitchen toys. I look forward to cooking with this for a long time.
