I have owned so any electric skillets in the past , I have grown to despise them. This new skillet is a wonder. It heats evenly, which means it cooks evenly. It holds a steady temperature and helps me turn out great meals. Good Product!

September 11, 2012

I have used it a few times since I purchased it and really like it. It cooks evenly all over and is so easy to clean. It's nice and sturdy so it doesn't slide around when you're turning food or pushing it around. Excellent product.

Not sure if I like this or not. My recommendations for this product would be a "maybe". It doesn't simmer, it just stops cooking then comes back on when the temperature drops. I will use it a few more times before I decide if Iwant to keep it. I do like the looks of it and cleaing features.

Annoying loud hum

by Susan, IN
January 19, 2012

While this pan cooked very nicely, it was very annoying that the element hummed loudly every time it cycled on. Also, the non-stick surface was a bit difficult to clean. I was quite disappointed and returned the pan.

Nonstick Electric Skillet-by Cuisinart

by Christina, SC
December 1, 2011

My old teflon skillet from the 1960's finally bit the
dust. I searched, and read all the pro and con
comments on all the sites before I decided to purchase from Cooking.com. The skillet was
heavy, with rubber shod feet and didn't slide when
preparing food, it heated evenly over the whole
surface, it was easy to plug in and set temperature
and very easy to wash (dishwasher). It was big..
and just perfect for what I was looking for. Yes
I would buy it again and recommend to others.

The Best Electric Skillet We've Ever Owned

by Mary, AR
August 3, 2010

My husband and I are in our early 60s and have owned numerous electric grills in the past. We bought the Cuisinart Electric Skillet to replace our GE electric skillet that wore out. Because of the cost of the Cuisinart I was reluctant to purchase it but now that we have it and use it at least 4 times a week, it was worth every penny we paid for it.

The lower priced electric skillets moved when we tried to remove food from it but the Cuisinart Electric Skillet weighs 15 pounds and does not move unless we intentionally move it.

Clean up is a breeze because nothing sticks to it; we just wipe it out with a damp cloth or paper towel.

Food cooks evenly and completely in the Cuisinart Electric Skillet and holds more than less expensive electric skillets that are the same dimensions. In our worn out electric skillet from a different manufacturer, we could only cook 4 chicken thighs/legs at one time but in the Cuisinart Electric Skillet, we cook 6 chicken thighs/legs at a time or 8 boneless, skinless chicken breasts.

We have cooked beef stew, boneless chicken breasts with diced portobello mushroom sauce, southern fried chicken, beef roasts in mushroom gravy, and much more in the Cuisinart Electric Skillet. Everything we cook in this skillet is cooked to perfection and to repeat myself, this skillet is worth every penny we paid for it. We love our Cuisinart Electric Skillet.

Elec Skillet/Cuisinart

by Kenneth, MN
October 21, 2009

Overall this is a great skillet. Very good sized, easy to clean, good deep sides. Only flay is the slight raised center that allows some things to trickle off to the edges. Overall though, a great buy.

Nonstick Electric Skillet

Overall, this is an excellent appliance, however, I was really searching for something an inch or two deeper, to cook a full roast in.

A pleasure to cook with

by Jonathan, NV
May 4, 2009

I have had this skillet for almost two years now, and have never regretted the purchase for a moment. It heats up quickly and evenly with absolutely no hot or cold spots, and recovers quickly when food is placed in the pan. I love the fact I have such a wide open area and large volume to cook in, and it is so easy to clean. And, thanks to a near cult-like obsession with keeping all things metalic away from it, it is still as clean and smooth as the day it was delivered. The only bad thing I can say about this skillet is that the lid does fog up easily, but that is no deturrent to using it. It is big enough to brown over three pounds of ground beef at once, or to make a double batch of my awesome sweet and sour pork, which is great since my family can't seem to get enough of it. It is one of my favorite items to use in the kitchen. If you cook for small crowds or make large batches of food, I highly recommend this skillet.
