Quality & Class

Great mid-sized roaster with a high-end finish, solidly built and a pleasure to look at on the shelf or table. Curved corners are well-suited to deglazing, and simple to clean up. Definitely great value at 1/3 the cost of a well-known USA-made benchmark.

My only comments are that the folding rack handles are just slightly in the way of the fixed pan handles and tend to want to 'fall inwards' onto your chicken. In the perfect world I would have the rack handles removeable (making them optional).

Highly recommended, you won't be dissapointed with this fine roasting tool!

I recently bought this roasting pan and I was very impressed . The weight and sturdiness of the pan was amazing . I am surprised at the price and have looked at and paid much more for a no more sturdy and no more attractive and certainly no easier to clean roaster pan. It is just slightly smaller than the others I have purchased but certainly big enough for a 16-18 pound turkey. It roasts as well as the others I have and as I said before it cleans up amazingly easy. I really enjoy it and may buy a few more for gifts and for myself . I have in the past used the one we all think of when we think of well made roasting pans and paid quite a bit for them but after reading the review by cooks illustrated I am glad to have found this one.

KitchenAid Roaster

by Michael, TX

I was pleased with the overall performance with the roaster. I wasn't too happy with the rack though. The handles kept falling into the chicken I roasted. I was the pan without the rack with any problems with removing the bird. It cleans up easily..

Excellent Performance Value

by Eric, CA
December 5, 2007

I bought this to replace an old non-stick roaster that I haul out twice a year to took a turkey. 18 pound bird fit perfectly, and the drippings & veg I put in the bottom carmelized nicely without burning! Thus the sauce was delicious and clean up very easy.

My only (minor) grievance with this item is the folding handles tend to want to fold, even when your bird (or whatever) is in place. It in no way effects performance, just takes a little more care in extraction when hot.

A little flimsy but good

by Michael, PA
February 3, 2009

Can't complain based on the price - used $40 of accumulated Discover Card points to get a $50 gift certificate on line. Net cost with shipping was about $11.00. Handles on rack tend to fall in, and the material is single ply stainless not stainless clad aluminum like the more expensive Calphalon and Al-clad pans.

Cooks Great, Clean-up Is A Little Bit of Work

by Kristi, CO
January 28, 2008

I used my new roasting pan for the first time last night and it worked fantastic. My chicken turned out extremely moist and the skin was golden and crispy. Clean up was a little harder than I expected because of the rack. That is the ONLY reason I didn't give this pan 5 stars. It took a little bit of work to get everything off of it but it wasn't a big problem. I would still highly recommend this roasting pan to anyone and everyone.

A Great Roasting Pan !!!!

by Rebecca, RI
December 15, 2008

I am soooo pleased with this roasting pan and rack. I received it in time for Thanksgiving, and although I always pride myself on my turkeys, this pan cooked the turkey PERFECTLY. The rack was indispensable and I was able to cook my gravy right in the roasting pan. I should mention that the turkey was 20 lbs. and I was a little worried that it wouldn't fit, but it fit just fine.
You can't beat the price for this type of quality. If you are looking for a roasting pan w/rack, I would definitely recommend this one. You won't be disappointed.

My daughter wanted a decent roasting pan that was stainless steel. Did not want non-stick. Checked with Cooks Illustrated and this was the one they recommended. It's made better than the inexpensive ones & not as expensive as All Clad.

The perfect fit

by Pamela, CA
April 26, 2008

This is a great product, particularly, because of it's size and weight. I've looked around for a long time for a good quality, weighted, roasting pan that would fit in the oven of my Canadian Heartland Classic stove, which is smaller than American made stoves. Thank you, Kitchen Aid and Food Network!

Cooks Illustrated Bargain Buy

by Rudy, TX
December 15, 2009

Test Kitchen, which is a part of Cooks Illustrated, tested several high-end roasters (including All-Clad as their best option) and listed this one as their "best buy". This was by far better than I expected.

I had been looking for a stainless steal pan to cook small turkeys, hams and roasts. This pan does it well. The rack keeps the meat out of the drippings and easily removes from the pan. Liked the pan well enough that I bought one for my daughter-in-law for Christmas.

Easy to Use, Easy to Clean, GREAT

by nancy, NY
November 29, 2009

Bought this roasting pan and rack for everyday use, but used it first for my 14 pound Thanksgiving turkey. The turkey fit easily with room to spare. My favorite part was the cleanup. It was simple and required no harsh scrubbing. As others described, the rack handles do fall down onto the bird, but I didn't find it to be an issue in the cooking or use of the pan. I was also a bit surprised that the rack sat so low in the pan, not a lot of room for veggies or gravy underneath without touching the bird... but I managed just fine... Those two things are why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5.

Great

I bought this to replace the awful kitchen aid non-stick roasting pan that I had for less than a year which peeled and rusted. I like the steel surface and the rack. It is not as heavy duty as the other but for the price I am more than happy.

Roasting Pan with Rack

by Rhobley, WA
December 25, 2008

The stainless steel roasting pan with rack is a fabulous bargain for the price. The other pans that I have shopped are more expensive for the same quality. I am happy to use this pan and rack, and know that the value is wonderful. Thank you.
