Crudely machined, outrageously expensive, incredibly poor instructions.
I have seldom been as disappointed as when I tried this product. Stay away!!!

Works Well.. Get a pro to show you how to use

The item seems pretty heavy duty. My wife has always wanted one to use instead of your Cusinart. So far we have only made sweet potato waffle fries ( which were perfect waffle shape once we got the thickness adjusted properly. I like the food holder much better than other models I've seen. The instructions are minimal. I guess using one of these is mostly intuitive, and it helps if you grew up viewing the RonCo vegamatic commercials. My recommendation fore use is to wear one of those kevlar kitchen gloves and taker firm sweeps over the blade with the guard while holding the stand steady. Aim for beyond the blade - if you push toward the blade and slow down your stroke, the food will jam mid cut.

When purchasing it was not fully clear that the item came with a full complement of blades. I looked for the same model on other web sites and the descriptions of what was included were all lacking. The box looked as if a catch tray was included but it was not.

A little spendy for what you get. Not difficult to use, but sometimes a little awkward.

This mandoline is a real time saver. I get it out and use it where a food processor won't work or where I don't want to clean the food processor. I turn to it for dinners for 2 or for 20. I LOVE UT!

The mandoline, while very costly, had no direction booklet. There are 4 or 5 extra blades, but no description as to how and when they should be used.

For years I used this mandoline in professional kitchens and dreamed of owning one for myself. However, I always balked at the price. I finally broke down and bought myself one. And boy, am I glad that I did! I recently cooked a family dinner for 50, and the mandoline make the pile of carrots disappear in no time. If you do any amount of cooking for crowds, this is a lifesaver!

This mandoline is pricey, but it works wonderfully! It is sharp and makes great consistent slices and waffle cuts. The instructions are not great, but I went to the Bron website and they have excellent English instructions. With those instructions I was a champ in no time.

I paid a lot of money for this product and I would think it would come with some kind of instruction manual. Do you have to be a chef to use one of these? I find it hard to use but I hope with practice I will get used to it.

This is a fabulous mandoline. It is very sharp and a little tricky to use. It is not for an inexperienced chef. It makes great slices of vegetables and makes a beautiful presentation.

The product itself looks like the highest quality. I have not had a chance to use it yet but I'm sure it will also perform at highest quality. The instruction sheet looks low class, cheap. I don't know how else to describe it. It's a Xerox copy and doesn't reflect quality.

Impressed does not describe this Mandoline. I was initially intimidated by its super sharpness, but by following the safety guidelines I wizzed out an abundance of assorted veggie combination cuts, cleaned up the blades asap all in 1/4 the time I used to spend cutting slivers, thin slices, match sticks and more. This is not for the timid but definately for the cook who enjoys stir fry, fries, scalloped potatoes, cole slaw and more in a flash. This stainless steel beauty is a must.

Pretty pricey for what it does. It does the trick. It takes hard veggies. So don't try putting a soft cucumber into it.

Solid device

The levers that move the plates are a little stiff, and you need to use trial and error to get the right cutting thickness, but overall this is a pretty handy tool that looks like it will last a long time. Cleanup is simple and I'm not worried about staining or breaking any cheap plastic parts, because it doesn't have any. There are 5 juliene/french fry inserts, and for some reason Bron chose to provide a storage container that holds only 4 of the 5. I'm not sure what they were thinking there. That said, it's a great time saver for all sorts of slicing chores, and gives you lots of options to play with fancy cuts.
