better than i had hoped

I was excited to order/receive this knife set as a gift. I was sure that Paula Deen would not put her name on anything but the highest quality and i was NOT disappointed. The collection (including the block) is a true work of the craftsmanship expected. The knives themselves have a very nice weight and balance to them. A true joy to use in my high paced, everyday kitchen.

the knives are great. we love them. but, i was under the impression that the block held all the knives. it doesnt, so now we have 2 extra knives laying around

I am very happy with this knife set. The knives are heavy, high quality and easy to grip. There is an aray of sizes for every task and the storage block is beautiful. I made a great choice as a gift for myself.

Haven't used the knife set much, but glad it came with a sharpener blade, or whatever you call it. I have been told by my daughter not to put them in the dishwasher - which is a real drawback. I did send in the rebate information to get back a $20 rebate on the set. Not a fan of rebates and the hassels involved,but I did get it together and sent it in.

This is a great starter set for any kitchen. The knives are sharp and appear to be of good quality. I especially love the wooden block as it's unique wood grain is a conversation piece in and of itself. Thank you Miss Paula for giving me another beautiful and useful piece of equipment for my kitchen.

DO NOT WASH IN DISHWASHER ONLY HAND WASH. THE SMALL STICK ON DECALS WILL FALL OFF. NOT AS SHARP AS I WOULD HAVE LIKED. NICE KNIFE BLOCK. ENJOYED THE EXTRA 2 PIECE KNIFE SET.

Simply Put!! These are the finest knives we have ever owned, Super sharp, properly weighted. There are not enough superlatives to describe these knives. They were purchased as a Christmas gift and I cannot tell you how pleased my wife is with these knives. Would definitely recommend these knives to anyone!!!

I bought these knives for my daughter's birthday. She opened it and we look at every knife and found they were kinda heavy and very sharp. She loved them and can't wait to start using them. The steak knives are not serrated so they can be used as a paring knive or for any small job needed. Having said that, one does not need anymore knives. It is a very complete set.

This is an incredible set of cutlery at an impossible to believe price. Value way over cost. The only drawback is that the knife holder does not have places for the two add-on knives. Still an incredible value sure to please and bring a smile.

I continue to be pleased with this set. The weight on these knives is balanced and with very little effort I can cut through foods, cleanly. When you pick up one of these knives, you can feel the difference.
