The boards I recieved had several small blemishes and recesses on the surface which would trap food particles unless they are sanded out and the board is well oiled. The grooved edges of one side are so shallow they are not practical for carving meat on as they easily overflow. Not a particular good price for a board this size. It does have an attractive look.
