I used this for thanksgiving turkey and loved it. It is sturdy but not so heavy that it takes two people get it out of the oven. Good value and half the price of the competition. Easy to clean.
This is an excellent value for the $$. I've looked at the high end for $199 and this is just as good or better. Love the fact that it's stainless vs. Teflon coated as when you use to deglaze for gravey you have more bits in the stainless vs. non-stick for better flavor.
The quality of the stainless steel is good for the value but the center of the pan is raised instead of completely flat. I want the ability to put the pan on the stove to make gravy from the pan drippings. The raised center makes it difficult to add any liquids to lift the drippings with even heat distribution.

This roaster is rated top by America's Test Kitchen and by me. It has a flat bottom and it browns/sears well. It is heavy duty, conducts heat evenly, and I would have rated it 5 stars if not for the rack having too much room in the roaster to slide back and forth. This can be a problem when trying to flip a turkey or other meat.Other than that, I am extremely satisfied with the roaster. I definitely recommend it.
I've owned many roasting pans over the years but this is the absolute best. It is heavy enough to do a great job yet not so much that I can't manage it. It heats evenly and cleans up easily - and it fits in the larger compartment of my sink. I can't imagine needing a larger one. Used it last night for a standing rib roast and it turned out perfectly. I don't think I'll ever need another roasting pan. You can't go wrong with this one; you can spend more but I doubt you'll get more.
The size and shape of this pan are perfect for any roast I might want to make, and it fits easily into my oven. I particularly like the generous handles. Other pans I have seen in stores have handles that my hand doesn't fit into. Even with an oven mitt I can grasp this easily. It does a fine job of roasting...distributing heat evenly. I can't vouch for durability, since I've just gotten it, but will go with America's Test Kitchen's assurance that it will last forever, as all good cookware should.
This pan is very heavy duty but at the same time it is fairly easy to handle and lift. I roasted root vegetables in some olive oil and they cooked perfectly, beautifully carmelized and crisp tender. It heats evenly and the handles make it easy to stay safe while lifting in and out of oven. Restaurant quality for a great price. Just the large size I was searching for.
After many weeks of research, I finally decided to take the plunge on this roasting pan. Up until the 11th hour I was planning on purchasing another, more prestigious & expensive brand. What sold me on this over the A** C*** was the aluminum core vs. a stainless steel only bottom. Aluminum core pans seem to heat more evenly which can be important when making gravies or sauces. SInce my purchase, I have made a standing rib roast (which set directly on the pan's bottom) and then a 20 lb. roasted turkey (which I used the included rack). Both items turned out beautifully with wonderful browned, not burnt, bits that led to amazing gravies. The pan cleaned up so VERY easily. The rack also was an easy clean. I have read in the A** C*** website to use "Barkeepers' Friend" brand cleaning powder to bring stainless steel pans back to their original shine. I haven't tried that on the pan as it cleaned up so nicely but I have on old stainless steel pans and it worked great; almost look like new! As a side note, I was replacing a "good brand" non-stick roaster. I would discourage anyone from going the non-stick route as the coating began to flake off (even with proper care & utensils) and the "brown bits" were more like "burned bits" so my gravy always had a hint of burnt.
I ordered this pan to cook my first turkey in 35 years (the last one, overstuffed, exploded in the oven!). The result was perfect and I attribute much of my success to this beautiful, sturdy stainless steel roasting pan and its accompanying rack. On-line research had convinced me that the strength and the integrity of the roasting pan under heat were of paramount importance to a well-cooked bird, and this pan producted a perfectly brown, tender roast. Cleanup of both the tnonstick rack and the pan itself was surprisingly easy. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
I was eager to try out this roasting pan given the reviews. It works just fine, but I am slightly disappointed with the quality. The pan developed stains on the interior after the first use. I didn't bake at a particularly high temperature or cook anything odd (turkey + vegetables), so I am surprised how these white stains came about. No amount of washing gets them out. Still, the pan is sturdy, and I'm sure I'll get many years of use out of it. I would still recommend it. The size of the pan and the design of the handles is very practical.
I let my daughter use the pan since she was baking the turkey on Thanksgiving. When I arrived at her house the turkey was beautiful; however, the roasting pan was a mess and I thought the baked on juices in the bottom would never come clean. But the pan cleaned up easily and was just as nice as before.
