I have been buying a new piece to add to my batterie de cuisine whenever there is special pricing. One of the pieces that I still needed and wanted was the large roaster that I just received from Cooking.com. So of course, I immediately made a roast. I really feel that because of the quality of All-Clad materials and construction everything I cook comes out better. The roast was no exception. It was tender, juicy and cooked to perfection.

The included forks were a great bonus too! It is deep and heavy as mentioned in previous posts. The inward facing handles seemed odd at first but I realized it's probably a safety design to avoid touching the oven walls, yet they are a bit small.

I thought the ad said it was also suitable for an induction stove but it is not. The picture is not clear but the inside of the pan is raised up which makes it difficult to use on the stove top when you are making gravy.

I usually cook a 26-18 lb. turkey and have used cheaper pans in the past. Have not used it yet, but I am impressed by the quality. And what a deal with 40%+ off, free shipping and the lifters!

I have owned this for many years and paid much more for it. When I saw it was on such a great sale price I quickly purchased this last one for my mother for Christmas. She cooks turkey 6 occassions a year and I know she'll use this roaster, rack and lifters for many other items. I have always been afraid that the pans she use would slip and burn her and now with All-Clad's great handles, I feel much safer for her. Also, the lifting forks are nice and wide so I don't worry about her dropping the turkey or roast back into the pan and splashing her is she chooses not to use the rack on occassion.

But I think it was designed with the handles in the wrong position, rather than facing out the handles face inwards, so it's hard to lift the pan. It's as though the handles were riveted in the wrong position. I would have paid a bit more for a better designed object but now since I've used it I don't feel as though I can return it. Too, the wire great could have been another 3/4" higher.
