It "just" held my 22-pound turkey.

It was great... sturdy, and easy to clean.

Doubles as a Lasgana Pan

by G. Calvin, FL
March 23, 2007

I have only used this pan once and it was to make a lasgana in it and even after setting in the frig with the left overs in the pan for a week it still cleaned relativly easy compared to the normal glass dishes I've had to use earlier. I didn't even have to soak it like the glass dishes, just a good scrubbing with a nylon pad and hot soapy water, and it was clean. So I'm sure when I use it as to roast a chuck of pork or a very large turkey (15 to 20 pounder) it will be easy to clean up!

The roasting pan appears to be of an excellent quality. I can't give you an opinion on it's performance, I haven't used it to date.

With some of the older reviews, I think there is some confusion here--the rack is nonstick (and cleans up very nicely); the pan itself is Calphalon's hard-anodized surface and may take a little elbow grease to clean.

The pan roasted well and also worked great on the stovetop for making gravy with the drippings.

The only problem I encountered is that the size makes it difficult to clean!

good value for the price. roasting pan not as heavy as some, but it does the job nicely. the rack is non stick and works well. used it for thanksgiving and it was much better than the disposable pans i usually use.

After one use, everything stuck to the pan, which was surprising since it is Caphalon. It was also online as a 18x15 size pan.

When roasting water must be constantly added otherwise the drippings hit bottom of pan and create smoke.

Because my cookware by choice is Calphalon, I purchased this roasting pan as a gift for my daughter. She loves it. She says it has plenty of room for a large turkey for entertaining, and it is easy to lift out item being roasted which was always a problem for her.

I gave this to my daughter has a xmas gift. As luck would have it, we were cooking prime rib for dinner and I didn't have an appropriate pan. We used hers and the prime rib was delicious.

Workhorse, but not a supermodel

by Kimberly, UT
July 26, 2010

This roasting pan does its job. I have used with and without the rack and it does what you expect it to. It heats evenly and is sized right for pretty much any sized roast, chicken, turkey, etc. which you plan to roast. The only down side to this pan is the finish. I have other Calphalon pans and this one's finish is what I say is matte compared to the glossy finish of my other pans. Keep in mind that this is cosmetic and doesn't at all affect it's performance.

BEST ALL PURPOSE ROASTER!!

by Jnae, PA
January 18, 2011

NOT ONLY IS THIS A GREAT ROASTER PAN, BUT I JUST MADE THE BEST LASAGNA IN THIS PAN! THE LASAGNA BAKED EVENLY, THE LAYERS CUT SO NEATLY (I USED A SHARP EDGED, NON STICK SPATULA, SO AS TO NOT SCRATCH THE SURFACE} AND THE LAYERS LIFTED OUT WITHOUT COMMING APART AND I WAS ABLE TO GET A FULL 5 LAYERS BECAUSE OF THE DEPTH! I WILL BE TRY OTHERS DISHES IN THIS PAN, SUCH AS A FRATATTA FOR THE FAMILY IN IT.
