It's made of cast iron so it heats up evenly and stays hot for those flash-fry meals. Create an all-veggie dish or add something creative to the mix like barbecue chicken or marinated prawns. Two side handles are wide, offering enough room for grabbing even with cooking mitts on. Weighs approx. 12-lbs. Flat-bottomed, however not recommended for ceramic stove tops.

Not too heavy even for cast iron. Easy to season. I like it so much I hung it up on a wall in my kitchen so it doubles as "art" with the red Calphalon mitt I purchased. Spend your money on this wok if you really want a good one. My grandchildren will be cookin' outta this one!

Love this wok it works wonderful hold heat evenly...someone said it was really heavy, I do think so, I think it is P E R F E C T!

While I enjoy using cast iron fry pans, it felt like a stretch to have a wok made from cast iron; however, the same benefit of cast iron fry pans (maintaining a constant temp) makes it ideal for a wok. We couldn't be happier with using the wok and the amazingly easy clean-up!!
