Went up easily (hardware included). I've always been a little leery of these -- afraid one of the cats or my feet might get impaled. The magnets are strong enough (and the product is wide enough) to hold thirteen knives (including my heavy 18" chef's knife) with no worries.

This is an excellent product! I researched the much higher priced magnetic bars and saw no advantages so
I ordered this one. What at savings and I love it! It makes my favorite knives so easy to use and store. The bar is plenty strong and holds all of my favorites securely!

A bit unstable

The length of the rack is nice, and I feel that it grips the knives securely. But what I don't love is that the brackets it came with to install onto the wall allow the rack to wobble a bit (on the long axis) when you pull a knife off. I owned a cheapo hardware store one before that was just screwed through the center onto the wall, and it was solid as a rock (I used anchors then, too.)

Excellent product!! All of my knives are visible and easy to get to! This holds them securely and they stay right where I put them.

How did I live without this?

Recently, while over a friends house, I noticed all her knives hanging on the wall and thought that was a great idea. So I began to look for something magnetic like she had and found this. This is an absolutely great invention! You can hang all your knives on the wall, they are easy to see, easy to get to, and they don't take up any counter space (unlike those knife blocks which take up way too much room). I absolutely love it and highly recommend it. (I should note that while I did try to purchase this item from cooking.com, they refunded my money as the last one they had was broken. However, I ended up purchasing it from a local store, regardless of where I got it, its a great item).

only one flaw

This knife holder itself is great. We fit alot of knives on it and it holds them all securely. And we got 2 of these for the price of one of the slightly longer one. The only flaw we've seen is in the installation. I don't know if there's a better way to do it. But we installed it as instructed and within a day one end of the knife holder was starting to pull out from the wall when you took a knife off the holder. It has never gotten dangerous because we've been careful, but if you have kids that could be reaching for a knife I'd worry. We are going to try reinstalling it more securely.

This is an excellent knife holder that installed easily. I'm able to hold seven larhe Henkles knifes and my carving fork with no problem. Highly recommended..

Support brackets inadequate but strong magnet

Had to use better (longer) screws going into solid wood backing and add an additional screw into the center of the assembly to keep the whole magnet from popping off the side brackets which are plastic.

i love the product i wish the hardware was more heavy-duty the screws were cheap and i had to use some other ones.
also the product arrived damaged at my local post office.

I like the magnetic strength of this knife holder. I wish I have purchased a longer one.

Great Product

This product is great, not only does it keep knifes out of the reach of children but It makes graping the one you need easy. Install was very simple and the magnets hold the knife securely in place.

great space saver

if you are short on drawer/cabinet space like I am, this is a great product. The magnet is super strong, It mounted easily. I can't imagine any of the more expensive models doing a better job than this one.

I tried to install this item inside a cabinet that had 17.95 inches between the door supports and it wouldn't fit so i sent it back.

Good product - it was easy to install and holds my knives firmly while opening up alot of counter space that used to be occupied by my knife block.

Good space-saving knife holder

This magnetic holder was easy to put up, but it was actually more of a challenge to find space for it than we thought. Be sure you've really got enough wall space for it or get the smaller 12 in. holder.

The quality of this product is excellent. I am very happy with its funtional performance, as intended for its designed use. I purchased two...one for use in my kitchen, the other for my toolroom.

The only problem I had with this product was mounting it without drilling holes in the wall for screws (it's on a tile wall) I just cut a thin piece of wood just wide enough to fit into the back so that it served as a flat surface as opposed to a concave one, and used heavy duty double sided tape to stick it to the wall.. The knife rack works wonderfully and makes my kitchen less cluttered. Awesome product.

Great Storage Solution

For the price, this knife holder is a great buy. Received quickly and took maybe 10 minutes to properly hang the holder.

Pros: Works like a charm. Properly installed the bar is secure on the wall and looks
pretty good as well.

Cons: Don't use the supplied anchors, just go buy some bigger ones from a
hardware store. No rubber cushioning for the knives to prevent scratches.
I usually try to be careful when taking a knife off the bar to prevent scratching.

Conclusion: Works great, looks good in my opinion and is plenty safe. I would buy
one again.
