I tend to use my bread machines 3-4 times a week(or more) and I have worn out several over the years. So far this seems to be one of the best that I have owned in terms of its features and versatility. Love being able to preset and time the Dough cycle since I frequently let the machine do the mixing and then I take out the dough and finish it myself--this is the first machine that has had this feature. Will have to wait and see how long this machine holds up...
I'm very happy with this bread machine! I've used several of the bread cycles as well as the dough cycle and all have worked great.
Another reviewer mentioned that the kneading paddle is weak... I haven't noticed this problem. Although the pan is not dishwasher safe, I haven't had any problems with bread or dough sticking so the clean up is still a breeze! There isn't an on/off switch but I would unplug my machine anyway after each use so I don't find this to be a problem.
The recipe book this machine comes with isn't too great but it's not difficult to find a plentiful supply of bread machine recipes online so it's not really a big deal. All of the recipes I've used, I've found elsewhere.
With this bread machine you can decide what level of darkness you want your bread; this is great as I don't like crust that's too done! Also, the delay feature is wonderful!! Fresh baked, warm bread with breakfast or dinner... it just doesn't get any better!
There is only one thing that rates higher than the smell of your bread baking & that is eating warm, whatever type of bread, you enjoyed preparing yourself. Have a Sunbeam Express Break, I mean Breadmaker.
The machine is very easy to use and makes delicious bread. I have one, and also bought one for my parents. They also love it. I don't know why anyone would buy anything more expenssive. This machine is excellent.
We purchased this bread machine for a relative who had been asking for one. The bread machine seemed to be easy to use especially for those who have never made bread before. It came with several recipes which was great, too.
This is a great machine. Very easy to understand and use. The only problem I'm having is with controlling the yeast amount. I live in a high altitude location, and too much yeast is causing the bread to collapse.
Other than this, I am experiencing no problems with the operation of the bread machine. I like the ease of function. Makes great tasting bread too.
I got this for my husband as a gift (sometimes he forgets to buy the bread). It is so easy to use, drop some stuff in, hit 3 buttons, and BAM, a couple hours later, you have warm, fresh bread. It cooks just as it describes - my first batch (see what happens when you give a bread machine to your hubby??), I selected the option to cook it extra dark. It came out with a nice crunchy crust, just like I like it, but the inside was warm and fluffy.
Clean up is easy, as well. It's nice that you can make multiple sizes in here as well.
This is my first breakmaker. I have made two loaves. I found the machine very easy to use and it made a very nice loaf of white bread. I did not find (as I have read in other reivews) that it made the crust too dark.
I finally had to replace my old Welbilt bread maker and found this one highly rated and the least expensive - an excellent combination. The bread comes out so much better than the old one - consistent texture and great taste.
Having previously owned a Dak breadmaker for years, I was apprehensive about the purchase of another machine when the Dak finally stopped working. This machine is everything I wanted and needed in a breadmachine. Just follow the directions properly for breadmaking and you will enjoy your fresh out of the baker bread.
The Bread Machine is great. We use the express loaf all the time it is small but perfect for our family. My daughter ,who is 12 years old, uses the machine all the time. She will put a loaf on when she gets home from school. She did all the research for the purchase finding the right machine for our budget, and I am very pleased.
This breadmaker took forever to arrive...however, I am very happy with it and its easy to use. Although, I agree with the other users, the bread recipes in the book need to be worked out because they don't work that well with the breadmaker.
Completely satisfied with this bread maker -- far better than our previous machine. We like the horizontal loaf vs. the tall pan and our results have been great. After looking at many machines, this seemed like a very good value for the money, and we were not disappointed.
This is the first breadmaker I've tried, and I like it just fine. I've made about 4 loaves of whole wheat bread, all perfect except the first one, when I did not properly turn the baking pan to lock it into place before the cycle started. I used the delay timer every time, and it is nice to wake to the scent of freshly-baked bread. By the way, despite having read poor reviews of the recipe book accompanying the machine, I used the whole wheat bread recipe, substituting white sugar since I didn't have brown sugar on hand, and it was very tasty. I find the machine easy to use, but it does take up a lot of counter space, so I tend to move it to the laundry room between uses.
