  • MOST HELPFUL REVIEWS

  • I tend to use my bread machines 3-4 times a week(or more) and I have worn out several over the years. So far this seems to be one of the best that I have owned in terms of its features and versatility. Love being able to preset and time the Dough cycle since I frequently let the machine do the mixing and then I take out the dough and finish it myself--this is the first machine that has had this feature. Will have to wait and see how long this machine holds up...

    I recommend this product.

  • I'm very happy with this bread machine! I've used several of the bread cycles as well as the dough cycle and all have worked great.

Another reviewer mentioned that the kneading paddle is weak... I haven't noticed this problem. Although the pan is not dishwasher safe, I haven't had any problems with bread or dough sticking so the clean up is still a breeze! There isn't an on/off switch but I would unplug my machine anyway after each use so I don't find this to be a problem.

The recipe book this machine comes with isn't too great but it's not difficult to find a plentiful supply of bread machine recipes online so it's not really a big deal. All of the recipes I've used, I've found elsewhere.

With this bread machine you can decide what level of darkness you want your bread; this is great as I don't like crust that's too done! Also, the delay feature is wonderful!! Fresh baked, warm bread with breakfast or dinner... it just doesn't get any better!

    Overall, great machine! :)

    I recommend this product.

  • Great machine!

The Bread Machine is great. We use the express loaf all the time it is small but perfect for our family. My daughter ,who is 12 years old, uses the machine all the time. She will put a loaf on when she gets home from school. She did all the research for the purchase finding the right machine for our budget, and I am very pleased.

  • very satisfied

This breadmaker took forever to arrive...however, I am very happy with it and its easy to use. Although, I agree with the other users, the bread recipes in the book need to be worked out because they don't work that well with the breadmaker.

    I recommend this product.

  • Use of machine

Generally, this is a somewhat complicated machine. I miss the automatic cut off I had on my West Bend machine. It does make good bread. It is a little large and bulky, takes up a lot of counter space.

  • Best we've had. Far better than previous mach

Completely satisfied with this bread maker -- far better than our previous machine. We like the horizontal loaf vs. the tall pan and our results have been great. After looking at many machines, this seemed like a very good value for the money, and we were not disappointed.

    I recommend this product.

  • A Very Decent Breadmaker

This is the first breadmaker I've tried, and I like it just fine. I've made about 4 loaves of whole wheat bread, all perfect except the first one, when I did not properly turn the baking pan to lock it into place before the cycle started. I used the delay timer every time, and it is nice to wake to the scent of freshly-baked bread. By the way, despite having read poor reviews of the recipe book accompanying the machine, I used the whole wheat bread recipe, substituting white sugar since I didn't have brown sugar on hand, and it was very tasty. I find the machine easy to use, but it does take up a lot of counter space, so I tend to move it to the laundry room between uses.

  • crust

Crust was too thick and crispy even on lightest setting. The bread was drier than bread from our old West Bend. Also, a two pound loaf was shaped so that a slice is too big for a toaster.

  • Newbie to Bread Macines

All loaves made turned into bread!

I am gluten free and even those turned into bread!

I added nuts and fruits and even those turned into bread!

    It is easy to clean.

Counter top is a little more cluttered but, it's very light weight.

  • OVERALL THE BREAD MACHINE IS VERY NICE, BUT THERE ARE TWO THINGS I AM HAVING A PROBLEM WITH. 1) THE DIGITAL DISPLAY IS VERY HARD TO READ AND IT WOULD HELP IF IT HAD A BACK LIGHT. 2) THE BAKING CYCLE OF 55 MIN. IS TOO LONG AND MAKES THE BREAD CRUST DARK (EVEN IF SET ON LIGHT) AND HARD. THE BREAD ITSELF IS OVERCOOKED AND DRY. IF THE MACHINES IS STOPPED 20-25 MIN. BEFORE THE END OF THE COOKING CYCLE THE BREAD COMES OUT FINE. THIS IS THE SAME FOR BOTH BOXED MIXES FOR FROM STRATCH. TO BE FAIR, OTHER BREAD MACHINES HAVE THIS SAME PROBLEM OF OVER COOKING.

    I recommend this product.

  • Breadmaker Best Buy!

This machine replaced an 11 year old Breadman machine. The tried a new Breadman but the cheap redesign of the machine was awful and I ended up returning it. This Sunbeam bread maker is great. Easy to get the bread pan in and out. And the price is less than half what I had paid for the comperable Breadman machine! A fantastic deal!

  • I was sceptical but I love this breadmaker. I have used it 2-3 times a week since I purchased it and have had no problems. The dough cycle is great for pizza and the instruction booklet is helpful. I had read other comments that the recipe in the book were not great so I purchased "Betty Crocker's Best Bread Machine Cookbook" and all of the recipes I have tried in this breadmaker have turned out nicely. Very happy with this purchase and product.

  • I am pleased with my Sunbeam bread machine. A few years ago I had another brand of bread machine and was disapointed after using it a few times. It was so much trouble to clean the basket and you were unable to detach the paddle which led to holes in the bread. My new machine is a snap to operate and clean and the paddle can be removed before baking so only a minute hole is seen. The controls are easy to see and operate.

I hit the wrong selection in the box for good value for the money. It should be yes and I can't modify it.

    I recommend this product.
