I like the board very much but didn't realize how heavy it would be.

The marble pastry board arrived in a timely manner. The only flaw is a crack running through it. Although slight, it could lead to it breaking in the future. That is what happened to my old one. Other than that, I'm pleased with the marble board.

Great product. I don't have to use as much flour when I am rolling out pastry dough, so that's always a plus. Also it looks great and easy to clean.

This gorgeous marble board supersedes the imagination.
Right out of the box the piece was flawless.
Some reviewers reported problems with cracks, this was not my experience.
It's sturdy construction coupled with the marbles' crystalline high gloss finish makes this pastry board an excellent feast for the eye and utility.
I purchased a marble rolling pin to match the board- this made one dynamic duo!

we love that the dough doesn't stick when rolled

The product was as described, was packaged for shipping exceedingly well, and I am quite happy with this purchase. This was a Christmas gift and they were very suprised that a nice marble board could be found, anf plan to not only use it for pastry but also to cool fudge.

It is beautiful - exceptional quality and value for the price. Probably my own fault, I had no idea how heavy it would be. You really need a spot to put it & leave it on your counter because it's too heavy & bulky to store & pull out for occasional use (there are feet underneath that you can't see in the picture). However, if you have a for it, this is a great product, better size and price with lower shipping and handling costs than any other that I could find on the internet.

I really have not noticed any difference from rolling pastry on my board versus this marble board-I do like the heft and apperance. I already had the marble roller.

Doesn't stain, doesn't scratch, washes clean with ease. Large size gives you the ability to prepare and cut different kinds of food with plenty of room to spare. For the price, it's so worth it.

Excellent Pastry Board!!

I was quite leary of spending this much money, on a pastry board....
but I have to say, it is definitely one of my best investments! My husband made
homemade cinnamon rolls the other evening, & I have rolled out several
pizza crusts, so far..on it. It works exceptionally well, and sticking is nearly..if
not altogether,obsolete. It is extremely heavy...the one and only drawback, if that
is even to be considered a drawback. On a scale from 0-10 I give it a 10! It is
well worth the money( and weight) this pastry board will definitely be a significant
addition to my kitchen.

Shipping Costs

Price was very good but the shipping costs were very high, I am aware this is a heavy item but other companies offer low or no shipping fees.

18 x 18 marble pastry board

This item, in conjunction with the marble rolling pin, proved to be a good addition to my kitchen. Added a whole new dimension to rolling pastries/dough for me.

All marble boards are pretty much the same but the fact that I purchased this from Cooking.com I didn't pay sales tax and I got free shipping. The quality was great, the service fantastic and you can't beat the price. Cooking.Com is a great site.

The marble board was quite thin and broken when I received it. I called immediately and the customer service rep was very courteous and sent another in it's place at no charge to me. The new one is still thin, but arrived undamaged and I use it every day. I recommend that the marble board be shipped with extra packaging to prevent breakage. If no one has used marble before, this is a good value to use for candy and baking(rolling out doughs) on, plus it will save your counter tops from hot pans and knife nicks.

Beautiful!

It was a beautiful board, but it arrived cracked & was too heavy--It's suppose to be heavy since it was such a large piece of marble, but too heavy to move around. Once placed it needs to stay where it's placed.

Very good, but needs non-slip feet.
