Good But Not For The Price

I bought this N-M Mexican vanilla due to knowing it would be free of cumarin. But to be honest, it's taste is a little bitter and NO WHERE as smooth as Mexican vanilla that is sold along the border or on the internet that is also safe from cumarin. Brands like Tropical, Blue Cattle Truck, Gaya and many others are proven safe and at 1/4 the cost.
So, it is an OK buy but not worth the price and of a poorer taste when compared to the brands I listed above.

I've used this vanilla for years and loved it. It is "sweeter" and "softer" than regular vanillas. I understand this is a characteristic of Mexican vanilla. I decided that I used it often enough that I wanted the quart size. Cooking.com had an excellent price on the product and shipping.

This Vanilla, Mexican Pure is excellent. Pure is the right word here, It's purity is the very best, you cannot get a better product.

We have tried a number of vanilla extracts, and this is categorically superior to anything else regardless of price.
Concerned over appearance of product

I was actually concerned with the product upon arrival. There was vanilla on some of the packing and around the seal lid on the container. There was also not a silver seal on the top of the container. The outside lid was sealed with a shrink wrap product, but the inside of the bottle was not sealed. I tried contacting Nielsen Massey to find out if the bottle was suppose to have an inside seal as well as being wrapped on the outside. I have yet to use the product until I find out. I have used the Mexican vanilla in the past & love it. You can definitely taste the difference. Please help with my concern. Thank you

It's not the very best Mexican Vanilla that I've ever had, but at 1/4 the grocery store price it tastes pretty darn good.

This is absolutely the best vanilla available for the BEST price! My girls and I bake a lot and we insist on the best vanilla. We go through a lot for a family and couldn't support our habit if we had to buy it in 8oz. bottles for $12 to $19.00!
