From buttermilk fried chicken to homemade donuts, cook your favorite deep-fried foods at home with the Waring 2.2-lb. Deep Fryer. With an 1,800-watt immersion heating element that heats up in minutes and a 30-minute mechanical timer that lets you keep watch over exactly how long you fry each food item, this deep fryer gives you complete control over your frying experience, whether you're making beignets for breakfast or having a late-night snack of deep-fried mozzarella sticks. The heavy mesh basket can hold up to 2.2 pounds of onion rings, French fries, hush puppies or chicken wings, so you can cook for a crowd on game day, and the basket handle stays cool for easy access to your food even when the oil is heated to the maximum temperature of 375 degrees F. The 1-gallon enamel-coated oil container is removable and also has a tilt-and-drain feature that makes cleanup simple. Plus, you can put the lid, basket and bowl in the dishwasher after use. A permanent filter is included to keep debris from prior cooking sessions out of your food. For safety, the unit won't operate until the control panel is properly mounted, and the fryer automatically shuts down if overloaded. A 3-foot-long breakaway cord prevents accidental spills and toppling if someone bumps into or trips over the cord. This small appliance comes with a one-year manufacturer's warranty against defects, and the brushed stainless steel exterior matches well with chrome kitchen appliances and modern kitchen decor.

  • Waring is a dependable brand

Having had problems with dept. store fryer electronics dependability in the past, I chose Waring to be sure I was taking a step up in fryer equipment. Since I have just owned the Waring fryer a short time, I haven't got a good perspective on the overall dependability, but the design and usability are great. I wish it had more heating power. At twice the cost of the department store fryers,...it isn't twice as good.

    I recommend this product.

  • Great product for the money.

Love it so far, heats up quick, holds temperature, easy to use and clean. Wish the cord was as long as advertised. Said it was 3' long, was only 2'. The other thing, is the timer, it works great, except once it times out, you only get one quiet ding, so you have to watch over it once the time is close. One more thing, wish the level was deeper. Over all, it is worth it.

    I recommend this product.

  • Great Fryer

I bought this to replace my CoolDaddy which was taking 25 minutes to make a basket of fries. Heats up quickly, heats up hot, stays hot. I was so used to my CoolDaddy cooking times that I burnt my first batch! It's a thirsty thing, but I love it.

    I recommend this product.

With the 15% online discount coupon I had I was able to have the unit delivered for less than $100.00. It has only been used three of four times in the two weeks we have had it but are currently very please with the fryer.

  • The oil doesn't seem as deep as it should be. So far I've done only fish, fries and chicken thighs. I could do only two thighs at a time and since these take a long time, wouldn't want to have to do more.

It's great for smaller pieces. I'm looking forward to doing donuts.

    I recommend this product.

  • Like two ships passing in the night ?

I read chef's reviews and virtually saw it on every food network show. So I purchased it thinking it had two small baskets and one large. The one I recieved only had one large basket so I returned it. However, Cooking.com has not acknowledged my return (by UPS $47) and I have not been given credit back on my credit card. Cooking.com was less than cordial in my returning of the fryer.
    Sincerely, James S. Gamble

    I recommend this product.
