  • MOST HELPFUL REVIEWS

  • Excellent. Looking forward to filling my fridge with these. I pop them from the fridge to the oven to the freezer. Only wish they were stackable. But, they are so wonderful, I don't care that they cannot be stacked. What a pleasure it is to wash them and not still smell the food that was stored in them. It is great to be able to store sauce without worrying about staining.

All, and all, Ihighly recommend these containers!

  • Good Storage

I had only a few old glass storage containers and needed more once I stopped using my plastic storage. The reviews I read about these talked about lids that didn't fit well and containers that did not stack, but I have no problem with this. The lids do an adequate job (If I want airtight I'll have to go to some plastic seal, right?) and they don't jiggle or wobble. The dishes stack neatly upon each other (but not inside each other). Overall I'm happy with them. I think they are priced a tad high, but they seem to be the only game in town so that's what I had to pay. I bought two of the 2 cup and two of the 5 cup and am being served well with those four and the four I had from my mom's kitchen. I rated them as a 4 rather than a 5 because I like the design on the old ones better than the design on these. But overall, I'm pleased.

  • Excellent glass storage

I prefer to use glass for food storage, instead of plastic, and these containers are excellent. I love their retro look, too.

  • All around great storage

It is so nice to have a quality replacement for the toxic plastic storage containers. Anchor Hocking glass is thick, attractive, sturdy and heats well. The different sizes stack up well in the cabinet and refrigerator. Unlike plastic, I am not concerned about storing red sauce or reheating food in the microwave. I only use Anchor Hocking, and recommend it to all of my friends and family for a safer food storage alternative. The health of my family is well worth the extra cost...

  • Eliminating Plastic From My Kitchen

I bought these to replace my plastic storage containers. I have been increasingly concerned about pthalates and other plastic toxins leaching into my food--especially when the food is hot. I love that the lids are glass also, but that makes them no good for travel. Things seem to freeze just fine in them, even tho the lids don't really seal. I am very pleased that they can go from the freezer to the oven. They are very much worth the money, and my kitchen has way less plastic in it now! The retro look is an added bonus, and they stack really well.

  • Glass beats plastic everytime

Even though the lids on these containers do not form an airtight seal-and how could they, it's glass against glass-they are excellent food storage options. (If I need the contents to remain in an absolutely air-tight space, I stretch plastic wrap over the top before placing the lid on.) The point is that your food is not sitting in plastic; there is much controversy over the safety of long-term plastic exposure. Regardless, I like my food to not include a

I want to use these glass storage units because they worry free in terms of any unknown chemicals that may contaminate the food as some claim plastic may. I appreciate the compact way that they store in the refrigerator. I value the efficient way that use the space. I purchased these containers for my daughters; I would purchase them for gifts without concern that they would not be frequently used and enjoyed.

  • This was a good product for the price. The only complaint I have it that it does not seal very well - so when its in the refrigerator the smell of the food is there. Other than that it is a good product.

  • I love these glass storage containers! I purchased two of each size. They are keep food fresh and are easy to clean. They will last a lifetime. Best of all, since they are glass, they don't interact with the food. No staining, no food odors. I also like the peace of mind knowing that there are no chemicals or endocrine disruptors leaching into my food from plastics in the container since even the lid is glass..

  • I do not use plastic anymore to store left overs because things such as the cling wraps are so bad for us. I use nothing but glass to store refrigerated things anymore. They hold no odors from previous stored items and you can not go wrong with glass storage containers.

  • As a professional chef, I'm always looking for ways, not only to cook, but to store my creations. I'm a big believer in glass over plastic, so I ordered these glass containers, and they're fantastic. I use them to refrigerate, or freeze everything, and they are oven and microwave safe. Their 2-cup size is excellent for storing single servings of soups or stews. Take it from me, they're an excellent product.

  • In an effort to rid myself of plastics due to their toxicity and recent studies linking plastics and cancer, I've gotten rid of all the old Tupperware and margarine tubs we used to use to store our left overs--these are great, I bought several in every size and I love them! They have one advantage over plastics--they can go right in the oven, microwave, dishwasher, freezer and fridge without a thought! Way to go--I'm very pleased!

  • I enjoy being able to freeze food to take to work for lunch in these containers. I like the freedom from dependence on plasticware for lunch food. However, some of the lids fit a little too loosely. So, I just put rubberbands around the container and over the lids when I transport them to work. One advantage to the way the lids fit is that steam escapes easily when microwaving without having to adjust the lid. This is a great product that I wish I had known about years ago.
