Bring elegance to your breakfast, lunch or dinner table with the Bormioli Rocco Storage Pitcher. Ideal for serving ice-cold and refreshing breakfast beverages like orange juice, apple juice or milk, the glass pitcher is also great for use in the backyard when you want to provide iced tea or lemonade on a warm afternoon. Glass construction means everyone can see what's being poured, which adds to the decorative and festive air of your table. Mix up mouth-watering fruit drinks or sparking beverages by incorporating ingredients such as fresh fruit, ginger ale or club soda and fruit juice. The tropical hues of pink, orange and red will catch the light in this glass pitcher and entice guests to your refreshment table. For a traditional-looking beverage, toss a few slices of lemon into your lemonade. Delight children or grandchildren when you mix a large pitcher of rich chocolate milk for breakfast or snack. Designed to store beverages in your refrigerator, the pitcher features an efficient rectangular shape, which takes up less room on a fridge shelf than a round picture would. The tight-fitting plastic lid keeps particles out of the pitcher and helps reduce the chance of splashing or spills when you move the container. The 2-liter capacity ensures everyone can wet their whistles before the pitcher is carried into the kitchen for refills or cleanup. Cleaning is a breeze because you can place the pitcher in the dishwasher.

  • MOST HELPFUL REVIEWS

  • What I wanted seemed so simple: a glass juice
pitcher with a lid that closed tight enough for me
to swirl my orange juice around in the morning
to re-mix the settled pulp, and with some stylishness.
I must have looked at hundreds via the net. This is
the one I chose and I'm happy with it. The square
shape is very space-efficient in the fridge and
the lid seals pretty tight. It looks rather elegant
(though the plastic lid looks somewhat less so
than the glass body of the pitcher, which is quite
nice). I liked it enough that when I'd bought one and
decided I liked it, I went back and bought two more.

    I recommend this product.

  • 2.25 Quart Glass Pitcher by Bormioli Rocco

I purchased the 2.25 Quart Glass Pitcher by Bormioli Rocco mainly because I no longer wish to use plastic containers for both taste and possible health benefits. Occasionally, after a liquid is in a plastic container I can taste the plastic. If I can taste the plastic then I'm ingesting the plastic which can't be good.
    Pros:
    1) Pitcher made out of glass, Not Plastic
    2) Short in height
    3) Very Stable (will not accidentally tip over)
    3) Reasonable price

    Cons:
    1) The handle is not well designed. The handle is made for smaller hands (I have medium size hands and the handle is not very comfortable.) The gap between the handle and the pitcher should be made larger. Also, the handle should be attached at the bottom in addition to the top for added strength.

    2) The lid is not secure (does not fit tightly) and is made of plastic. However, the lid will rarely make contact with the liquid, especially if the lid is removed while pouring.

    3) Glass is not tempered. Therefore do not fill with boiling hot water to make ice tea.

    4) The design of the spout is adequate, but could be easily improved by having slightly larger spout.

    I recommend this product.

  • My only reservation about this pitcher is the limited amount of space between the handle and the body of the pitcher. The picture is a little deceptive. My hands are not real big, but I can only put my fingers around the handle up to the second knuckle. This is awakard and will take some getting use to. It is compact, twisting the inner part of the top gives an airtight seal and I can get my hand inside the pitcher which makes for easy cleaning. Overall, a good buy.

    I recommend this product.

  • Wonderful pitcher

This pitcher is so useful and handy to have. The size and shape are what make it so functional. It holds just the right amount of iced tea, and the straight sides make it fit perfectly in the refrigerator without taking up a lot of room.

Some people may not like the top; but if you learn the knack of turning it, it actually works quite well. I always turn the top counter-clockwise as far as it will go before placing it on the pitcher. Then after I place it on, I turn it clockwise until it tightens. I love this pitcher so much, that I recently ordered two more for myself and one for my son.

We received the glass juice jug in just a few days and it was packaged extremely well. I would prefer if the lid fit better but overall am very pleased.
I would definitely order from your company again.

  • Good Purchase...

I bought this glass pitcher and a smaller one too, I am using both a lot and I'm happy I bought them. I am having a little trouble with the lock/unlock feature , the small one does not have this issue, but the 2.25qt one does. I'm not sure if it's only that I got a deffective one, but I learned to use it as is and still love it, it's handy and great size, I make fruit juices and store them in the fridge, I feel comfortable having them in a glass container. I do recommend it!

  • Strange lid, but nice pitcher

This heavy glass pitcher fits my refrigerator door. The handle placement makes it difficult to remove the pitcher unless the pitcher is placed so that the handle is over the shelf rather than facing the user.

The only problem that we have with the pitcher is the lid is difficult to operate. The plastic mechanism doesn't always get tight enough to hold the lid in place despite following the directions.

Pitcher is a good quality glass pitcher. Only thing wrong is that it was smaller than expected. This website list this pitcher as 2.25 qt. but all packaging indicates its only 2 qt.

  • The weight is difficult on my wrist when I lift the jug. I think it might be better if there were not a handle - just indentations in the glass. But other than that the product is very good.

  • Great bottle for filtered water storage

This is a great glass bottle to use in the fridge when storing filtered water. Good size and shape. The lid on this doesn't seal as tightly as the smaller, taller bottle, but still great value and product.

  • A Welcome Alternative to Plastic Pitchers

It is so difficult to find good glass storage containers to replace plastic ones. The very rigid nature of glass makes sealing the container much more difficult than plastic. The gasket on the lid of this product does a pretty good job. Although the seal is not perfect, and the cold temperature of the refrigerator will loosen the seal somewhat, I was very happy to find this alternative to my plastic containers.

This glass pitcher is a fantastic product to replace the plastic in your home. The glass is thick and strong. I have read many reviews about the lid not sealing. • great product

I wanted a glass pitcher for ice tea because of the recent safety issues regarding chemicals given off by plastics. This fits the bill and is well made. I only wish it was a little bigger. Even though it is 10 cups, I can only fit about 9 cups with the lid on and I easily go through that in 2 days. Also, you must take the lid off to pour but I quickly go used to that and it comes off quickly. Thanks to the other reviewers who explained how to tighten the lid.
