When Starbucks opened its first Chicago store in 1987, they introduced a coffee as broad-shouldered and lively as the city itself. Named after the ritzy neighborhood along Lake Shore Drive, Gold Coast Blend is their biggest, boldest blend — a complex mixture of Latin American, Indonesian and Italian Roast beans that delivers waves of rich flavor notes in every cup. It's a sophisticated coffee for people with big tastes.
The Art of Blending.
When Starbucks blends coffee, they start with the best beans available from different growing regions. Then they combine them to highlight intriguing qualities and create a range of flavors and fullness. If you enjoy the full flavor of Gold Coast Blend, you may also enjoy Yukon Blend, a hearty blend of Latin American and Indonesian beans. Or consider Caffè Verona, a smooth, sweet blend of Latin American and Indonesian beans with a touch of Italian Roast.
