Non Stick Meatloaf Pan
I just received my pan so I had to make a meatloaf this weekend to try it out! I LOVE IT! My meatloaf easily came out of the pan and looked (and tasted) great.

The item is a good quality but has a poor design like other meatloat pans. The pads on the bottom part are good for taking the item out of the oven, however, it was difficult lifting the inside part of the unit out to fully drain the meatloaf. It really needs 2 sets of pads for easy lifting - one on the inside for lifting out of outer pan and one on outside for taking out of oven.

Thick metal, nice finish. At first look, I thought it was too small. However, I put 2.5 lbs of meat with added ingredients for a meat loaf and it fit perfectly. The meatloaf was nicely cooked with a uniform browning on top. But, NO GREASE on the meatloaf. It performs perfectly for what it was designed for. Best part, simple clean up. Poured the grease out of the bottom, wiped it down with paper towel to remove the grease, then hot water spray with a soapy sponge, and it looked like it was never used. Oh and don't forget, the bottom pan is also a loaf pan for bread. Two great products for the price of one!! Sweet!!

I bought this item after I read a meatloaf recipe on the Cook's Illustrated website. They said this type of pan would let the juices created during baking go to the pan below the meatloaf. That's exactly what they did. So the loaf did not stew in its own juices which would have resulted in a soggy, fall-apart bottom of the loaf.
My wife said it was one of the best meatloafs she ever had. And, over the years, she always made what I thought were the best meatloafs!
The serving was easy as a narrow spatula (usually for icing cakes) pried the loaf out of the pan with no problems. Cleanup was a breeze as well.
Bigger than it looks
When I recieved the two meatloaf pans I thought they looked to small. I had already bought 3.5 lbs. of burger and I knew it was too much, but decided to try to make it fit. After mixing everything I was suprised to see that it fit with room to spare. Could have used 4 lbs. The best meatloaf I ever made, next will be stuffed peppers.
