2-pc. Stainless Steel Skillet Set by Farberw

We recently purchased a ceramic top range. None of our pans had flat bottoms required for the smooth top. We purchased the 2-piece SS skillets by Farberware based on design and reviews from other customers. They work very well. The stainless steel encased aluminum disc allows the pans to heat quickly and evenly, and prevents scorching. Clean-up is as easy as advertised. And if you happen to overheat something and it sticks to the pan, a little water and low heat loosens the food. We are very pleased with the quality of the Farberware and would recommend these skillets.

The only possible improvement I can think of would be if these pans came with lids.

Loved this product. I use it everyday cleaning is a breeze too as long as you get to it as soon as you cook. Wish they came with lids though.

I am very satisfied with the Farberware skillets. I've had the sauce pans for several years. The only thing is I wash they a smaller skillet than these two. I used to have one but it was lost when I moved.

Just like they used to make them...

I've had a set of pots and pans from this line of cookware by Farberware for over 15 years and have had very little to complain about. (After 15 years one of the handle's screws came loose, but we tightened it up with no problem.) So after reading in the paper about possible health problems with Teflon we looked in our local stores for these saucepans -- because unlike many on the market these are without any coating. Just stainless. They have so far lived up to our standards for our other cookware and are just what we wanted. Highly recommended.

They are just the right size. I use them everyday. It would be great if they have a cover.

    Great Basic Cookware!

My cookware has been mostly Farberware over the last 25 years, and my original set is still going strong. I've added these two skillets to my set, and although they differ in looks, they're still well made and built to last. We're moving away from Teflon and want all stainless steel cookware, and these skillets are great with their matching glass lids. I'm sure they'll last a lifetime, as my original set still has a long way to go. Farberware is definitely built to last!

Not the Farberware I once knew

I was really looking for a small pan that I could sear a small chop with but this is too thin. I guess I'll have to pay for All-Clad to get what I want. Thanks anyway. I'll give the pans to someone.

    Great skillets

I love these skillets for my everyday cooking. I tried the nonstick pans but hubby kept using sharp utensils and scratching them, now I don't have to worry about that anymore.

The only negative about these is that for the 10-in. skillet, none of my current lids fit! I had to purchase a new lid for it. Otherwise, they're very good products.
