Featuring a hard-anodized exterior and nonstick interior, Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick combines durability and performance with fast clean-up and easy, low-fat cooking. Designed to fit your style of cooking, living and entertaining, each versatile vessel accommodates several different cooking techniques. Many feature two loop handles, for convenient cooking both on the stovetop and in the oven, as well as beautiful presentation at the table. The long handles stay cool on the stovetop for comfortable cooking.

These conveniently sized skillets are perfect for everything from grilled cheese sandwiches to small stir-fries for 1 or 2 people. The hard anodized pan heats evenly on any stovetop. These pans have high sides so they hold in the ingredients even during vigorous stir-frying. The nonstick coating doesn’t scratch if you use coated, wooden or nylon utensils.

Unlike many similar pans that have plastic or nylon handles, these pans are oven safe. That makes them perfect for making frittatas or baking fish. The pans are attractive enough that you can dish the food directly at the table for family dinners or informal get-togethers and not be embarrassed.

The pans feel substantial and sturdy because they’re made from a single disk of hard-anodized heavy gauge aluminum. The extra-long stainless steel handles are attached with 2 rivets, so they don’t wobble or feel loose while you’re using them. The extra length helps them stay cool while in use. The handles have a graceful curve that looks nice and improves safety.

Hand wash these pans easily, the nonstick coating ensures that a quick swish with a sponge and soapy water takes care of even crusty cooked on foods, so you can feel confident buying this hard-working and versatile duo. The sloped sides prevent food from getting stuck in crevices.

If you’re using them for grilled cheese, you don’t even need to butter the bread on the sandwich because the nonstick coating prevents it from sticking, and the gently sloping rim on the pan makes it easy to lever a spatula under the grilled cheese for turning, so grilled sandwich will turn out a nice, golden color. You can fit 2 or 3 sandwiches in the larger pan.

Legendary Calphalon quality at a price point you’d expect to pay for lower quality pans make this versatile duo one you’ll find yourself reaching for nearly every day.

Features:
  • Vessel Construction: Crafted from a flat disc of virtually pure, heavy-gauge aluminum for fast, even heating. Contoured, curved corners and flared rims accommodate utensil use.
  • Key Performance: Combines hard anodized durability and performance with fast clean-up and easy, low-fat cooking.
  • Exterior: Hard anodized exterior will not chip or crack.
  • Interior: 3 layers of proprietary nonstick coating. Cooks with little to no oils or fats. Effortless food release. Non-reactive cooking surface. Safe for use with nylon, coated or wooden utensils.
  • Handles: Cast stainless steel. Long handles stay comfortably cool. Double riveted for durable performance. Lightweight, ergonomic design for comfort.
  • Not dishwasher-safe. Handwash only.

Customer Reviews

LOVE these pans!

by Lindsey, TN
May 26, 2009

My hubby and I had been waiting on a good buy on frying pans, and really really really wanted to get Caphalon...we LOVE these. We make frittatas weekly and couldn't be happier with this purchase...and at just $50 for both pans...what a deal! I can't say enough good things. It's not even worth buying another brand...Caphalon lasts forever and they make quality products!

Excellent price for good pans. I replace everyday nonstick pans regularly because of nicks and scratches. I like the weight and handability of these pans.

Too LonG!

by Sandra, PA
June 24, 2009

I enjoy using my skillets- they cook well and clean up beautifully. I have only one complaint- the handles are too long to fit readily in my cupboards! I realize there is a reason for this- but I paid little attention to their length when I bought them- and I have to set them just right to close the doors! It's a nuisance - but .. not a reason to regret buying them

Cooking heaven

by Arthur, KY
July 14, 2009

For years, I've searched for fry pans that deliver (truly) a non-stick surface. With these fry skillets, they do as advertised. Easy to fry without any oil or butter if need be. My search is over. Cook an egg without any lard, butter, oil and just simply go from skillet to plate without sticking.

A Timely Needed Replacement

by Allen, TX
October 17, 2009

Both my 10" Calphalon non-stick skillet and 12" non-stick skillet (Not Calphalon) were nearing the end of their useful life of the non-stick coating. Both had seen extensive almost daily use. The offering of the new Calphlon set at the super sales price made it easy to take advantage of it. I like the new handle design though it is a little more difficult to put the pans in my rather busy large pot rack.

Highly recommend Calphalon non-stick cookware

by Barbara, CA
October 19, 2009

I have four pieces of the Calphalon. Two of them have been in use for over a year, so I can attest to their durability. They are easy to clean, cook evenly (my cook top is gas), and are beautifully balanced, making them very easy to use. Since all were purchased on sale, they were definitely a good value for the price.

Julia Childs lives in my kitchen now

by Deborah, WA
October 20, 2009

I remember a video of julia Childs and she was using a small skillet like one of these and she was making an omelet in 20 seconds. She could do this because of not having to use a flipper. She just flipped it in the skillet. Yes, you can easily do that with these skillets. I love them.

Nice Pans for the price

by Alan, GA
November 19, 2009

The pans are a great deal for the price. They are not as heavy duty as the upper end Calphalon lines but are much better than the cheap ones you see in kitchen and big box stores. Since I bought them strictly for eggs/omelets they work very well and the non-stick works great.

Great pans, although I did think I was getting a deal, the same price was being offered by the manufacture and Macys.

Poor Product Advertisement

by Lewis, TX
February 21, 2010

The price was too good to pass up. The ad did not indicate induction stovetop or not. I gambled and lost. I will give them away.

Slick non-stick

by Ronald, LA
July 13, 2010

These are fantastic skillets. The handles stay amazing cool when using them on the stove top and they are large enough that its easy to get a good grip when working with heavier items. I was able to cook perfect, sunny side up eggs the first try and have yet to break a yoke on over easy orders. The skillets are "heavy" enough that heat is evenly distributed making it a snap to brown meats perfectly and cook multiple items evenly. I got the lids to go with them and the combination worked fantastically in the oven. Clean up was a snap. These would have been a good deal for twice the price.

Great cookware

by Cathy, AZ
September 15, 2010

Several years ago I replaced our cookware with the professional calphalon. I love it except it can sometimes be hard to clean. These 2 skillets are nonstick and are great sizes. This was such a good price that I couldn't pass it up.

Christmas Cooking Pans

by thomas, MD
December 29, 2010

The new pans weren't as heavy-weight as I had expected from Calphalon pans. But they were immediately put to use for cooking Christmas breakfast. I found the heat to be evenly distributed and clean-up was a cinch. What I disliked about the pans was that they were manufactured in China, therefore, I have some doubts that they will last too long, especially the "non-stick"coating surface. As for an investment in cooking-ware, I could have bought a cheaper brand of Chinese pans with the same quality as the Calphalon pans.

could be better!!

by Lillian, WI
September 4, 2007

I use All-Clad pots and pans primarily, but also own a couple of dutch ovens by Calphalon, so was surprised when these skillets arrived at how light weight they are -- need heavier bottoms to be more useful -- my mistake!!
