Good find!

I used this for the first time last week and it worked great. Was a big hit for a weekend BBQ. However, I found that it works best to stagger the peppers especially if you are wrapping them in bacon as the bacon does not brown if they are overcrowded. I actually cooked them on low in the broiler as there was no room on the BBQ. They take about 30-45 minutes in the broiler on low. I tried cooking them on high and the tops got burnt. I recommend buying two as they must be served hot and one may not hold enough peppers when staggered. My only complaint is that the holes in the rack are placed too close together to cook properly. Further, be sure that the peppers you purchase are medium in size. If they're to small, they fall through the bottom unless you use toothpicks. If they are too fat at the bottom, they don't fit in the rack and fall over.

for the money, good

comes with a coring knives. usually i stay away from specialty tools you don't need, but it's really nice to have the curved coring knife this one comes with. only draw back is that the holes are so big, it can be a challenge to make sure all your peppers are big enough.

Reasonable and works well

I love jalapeno poppers and when I saw this for sale on cooking.com I just knew I had to try it out.

For the most part it works as it should, the one problem I had involved the peppers shrinking in size and falling through the holes once cooked. This caused quite a mess as the cheese melted to the pan which required extensive soaking and then scrubbing to get it clean.

You've GOT TO GET ONE OF THESE!!!

If you make stuffed Jalapeno's, you NEED one of these! It even comes with a CORER that gets all of the ribs and seeds out so you won't get the juice on your fingers! The peppers stand up and are super easy to stuff with your "special" recipe - it also comes with a recipe! The rack has handles on each end that make it easy to pick up off of the grill or out of the oven. You will really enjoy the corer. I already have two "tough", "manly" family members that have requested one of these for Christmas! ENJOY!!!

worked great & easy to clean

It is easy to fill the peppers after placing them in the rack. Clean up was easy. I love the tool for removing the stem and seeds. It made the job much faster.

Well worth the price.

I was pleased to see that the pepper rack was heavy duty. The corer alone is a huge time saver and well worth the money. I will be buying a couple of them as gifts.

Review for Jalapeno Pepper Rack & Corer

My husband is an avid "popper" person. He is very happy with the corer and rack that I purchased for him for Valentine's Day. The Corer works great and greatly reduces the task of seeding jalapenos and the rack work great in the oven, as I'm sure it does on the grill. We're very happy with our purchase. I do think, however that the price was a little too high.

Good buy

Great idea and will take some practice with cooking the jalapeños; holes are too close - need to be spaced out so the bacon wrapped peppers cook more evenly. Easy to clean and store.

Worth it just for the corer

This is a great product. The enclosed corer is fantastic. It makes coring the jalapenos an easier and less messy job. The rack is of great quality and the only thing I would change on it, is making it a little bigger and having the holes a little farther apart. and the holes could be a little bigger.

Pop a Pepper

I made my first batch of stuffed poppers last night. This product fills the needs of people who love to put out specialty foods that look like they take a lot of effort, but that really don't! This rack and knife make this a fun and easy task! I served my family a plate of wonderful stuffed poppers and it was easy. Clean up was a breeze, because I sprayed the rack with spray oil first. I'm buying another for a gift.

Great creation

This product is easy to use and takes a lot of work out of preparing the peppers for the grill or oven. Make your own filling and it can't be easier. Anything that involves cream cheese can not be beat for this. Just remember not to push the jalapenos down to hard on the rack. They will stay erect even though the holes don't seem to be big enough.

This is the best pepper popper ever. The pepper tools works great.

It is a one of kind of item that I've been looking for after looking at a friends home made one. The core device is especially nice for emptying seeds out of the peepers.

It was a big hit

This was fun. I ordered this to use at our family picnic. The enclosed tool made it very easy to clean out the seeds of the peppers. Some of the peppers that I puchased were a little to small and I had to be careful not to cut the side of them. I used the recipe off the website. The one with cream cheese, cheddar, and sun dried tomatoes, it was very good. I want to try this again for some of my friends.
