"Whether I'm on the road or in my restaurants, home or studio kitchens, a knife that's off the hook is key. We created a line that meets my high expectations as a chef, and also offers quality, value and a look that's the real deal.
In 2007 I met the designers of Ergo Chef at a gourmet show. I used the cutlery on stage during my demo and was given a set to take home. After a year of wear and tear in my kitchen - trust me it can be a knife gauntlet - I was hooked on the quality and design of Ergo Chef’s product. Before I knew it, I was teaming up with them to develop my own collection. We sketched a range of designs lookin’ for the select few that really rocked technically and aesthetically!
I’m a Hot Rod guy who knows that in order to do car-building right, you need high quality performance parts. The same idea applies to cooking, so the right knives are key. My product features a combination of the best materials with a design that will blow your mind! As a chef, restaurant owner, and TV personality, I have high expectations for my equipment and these knives meet and exceed all of them."

    Great Knife

The rocking feature of this knife is something I find helpful when doing fine chopping. The knife is sharp and cuts well. As I bought this on sale, I feel I got a good knife at a fair price. I have only had it six months and I will be curious to see how long it holds up, given that I am handwashing it.

I don't use this knife as much as I thought

This knife is good for cutting sandwiches, but that is a pretty specific use for a high priced knife. I find I don't use it a lot. I thought I would use it for slicing tomatoes but so far not. It is good for pulling pickles out of a jar to slice, but really, it's a gimick, so if your budget is tight, go for one of the other knives in the set. THe large chopping knife is very worthwhile to own and use.

Beautiful but, not my cup of tea.

I'm very experienced with knives, over 40 years. This knife requires a special technique (practice). Making a straight cut with this wasn't as easy as my other knives. It tends to cut into the cutting board, too. I like my traditional knives better. Since I retired, I've started a large collection. This is best used a collectible. By the way, this is beautifully made, just not my cup of tea

Not that I expected a superb knife for the money but I was sorely disappointed that my idol Guy would put his name on this one!

    Great Value

I tried this knife out, and it slices with ease. The ergonomic feels firm and balanced, however it will take some time to get used to the curvature. I would say this knife is a great value for the price.
