This was a gift. I personally have used a pastry cloth and rolling pin cover for years and like it very much. It soon will be time to replace and I am glad to know where I can get another one.

pie crust size

by Pat, CA
November 3, 2010

Many years ago, I had a pastry cloth of the same material, however it had a 9" circle inside a 10" circle stamped in red on the cloth. This made it easy to roll out pie crust to the desired size. The circles were imprinted in the cloth and remained after washing. I would love to find another cloth like the old one I had. I purchased 3 cloths, intending to give to my daughter and granddaughter in their Christmas Stockings.

pastry cloth & rolling pin cover

Actually, I've had these for years. My rolling pin cover disappeared after I made apple pies the last time. I think the washer ate it. Anyhow, really helps to keep dough from sticking to the rolling pin,so I recommend it to anyone who bakes.

Hurray - A Pastry Cloth

by Marion, IL
January 1, 2011

Finally found a cloth on which to roll pastry! Old cloth is falling apart after over 30 years service. New cloth is great. Long enough to wrap over drawing board which I use to hold and stablize cloth. Just takes a very light dusting of flour to prevent pie crust from sticking. Looking forward to using for biscuits, cookies, turnovers, etc. Excellent price and value.

Had a really hard time finding a new pastry cloth in local stores. Can't make biscuits without one! Ordered this one and got it in almost less time than it took me to drive to a couple of local stores! It's perfect.

Pastry Cloth is essential

by Carol, NC
February 10, 2011

I love using a pastry cloth and have not had one for a few years so ordered this on. It is pretty nice, but could be a little thicker fabric. It might be when it is washed. It does move on counter while in use but I put a dish towel under it and it works fine. Dough does not stick or move around on it. Use flour on it though. Rolling pin cover is very helpful too. Use flour on it too. I just shake it off and store it until the next time.

After searching many stores for a good heavy pastry cloth and rolling pin cover, I decided to check with Cooking.com where I have been successful in finding products before. I am very pleased with the cloth and the price.

Cloth finishing edge

by Donna, NY
October 12, 2011

When I received this, I washed it. Please note there were no washing instructions, so I washed it in the washer with my old pastry cloth. I was very disappointed when I found the sewn edge of the canvas cloth frayed off along one side after washing. However, it is still a good, sturdy cloth, not flimsy like so many others available in the stores.

Positive Note on Pastry Sheet

by Kathryn, TN
October 26, 2011

Pastry sheet material was thicker than I expected for the price, had nice bound edges, and minimal lint--a huge plus. I'll look forward to seeing how it cleans up, but my hopes are high.

Great Pastry Cloth and Rolling Pin Cover Set

by Janice, NM
November 14, 2011

The pastry cloth and rolling pin cover set is WONDERFUL! After years of fighting crusts that stick to whatever I rolled them out on and tearing, it's great to have them slide right off into the pie plate. I wish I would have tried this years ago.

Good Quality

by Cynthia, TX
December 3, 2011

I actually use this product to cover my wine vats and it worked wonderfully. It is double layered and seamed on the sides.... though the stitching should be more secure it came out of the wash fine. I recommend that you wash it on a slow cycle. All the stains came out perfectly. Will buy this product again.

Fantastic pie crusts

by Kathleen, MA
December 23, 2011

I have been using pastry cloth and rolling pin covers , since I first learned to bake, over 40 years ago! Went to night school, and the teacher there had a set and let me try it...fell in love with them! Immediately went out and bought my own.
Last year, I threw out my last set, all raggedy and rolling cover shredding...had it for over 10 years! Could NOT find a replacement in any store around here, on Thanksgiving had to resort to using wax paper to roll out my pie crusts, what a disaster! All my pies had "patchwork" done to them, I was mortified! While on vacation, decided to look if I could find them online....."stumbled" onto your site and found them!
Thought the price was very reasonable, good size piece of canvas to do my crusts, and it came with the rilling pin cover. Ordered it immediately....best decision I had!
Last weekend, I made the traditional individual meat pies (using muffin tins) had to roll out crusts to fit 7 doz muffin tins....it was so pleasant working off the cloth....made a job go by quickly and smoothly......no more 'patchwork" for me!
