Good Cake Pan

I bought this pan to use for pound cakes instead of angel food (since non-stick pans are not the best for angel food cakes which are supposed to stick to the sides in order to produce the proper height and texture). It is a wonderful pan and it has a nice weight for baking. It produces a medium browning and a nice crust thickness. I hope this helps anyone searching for a tube pan.

This pan cooks angel food cake very well. Pans with feet are hard to find. It was very difficult to clean. The residue from the cake did not want to come off. I thought it was a little too expensive--about $5.

Love this!

Hassle-free baking with this cake pan. Thank goodness for the feet, I don't have to mess with wiggly neck bottles to invert it. Bakes evenly. Good price, good quality.

Is everyone's mom like mine?

My mother needed to replace her old angel food pan as it had warped and no longer provided a sufficient seal. She also wanted one that had feet so she could have the option to either turn it upside down to cool, or separate the two pieces. We looked for a long time and settled on this pan because we felt it would meet her minimum requirements for durability, flexibility in use, and overall quality.

She received the pan and was delighted to discover that it exceeded her expectations. She feels it is the best angel food pan she has used; it produces light fluffy cake that easily separates from the pan. The only observation I made was that the finished cake coloring was not equal to what I would expect a gold pan to bake. (I am thinking of a William Sonoma gold loaf pan).

This is a very nice cake pan. I haven't used it yet but it is much better than what I've seen in a store.

Excellent pan for the price

I have owned several angel food cakes pans in the past and this by far is the better pan. It browns evenly and did not leak.

Best Invention

Years ago we inverted our old pans on soda bottles--make out of glass--now everything is made of plastic - I've melted a few soda bottles -) This is a heavy duty pan with strong legs--I love it and I give it 10 stars. Congrats to whoever invented this.

Angel food cake pan by Chicago Metallic

I saw this on Cook's Country and just had to buy it. I'm so glad I did!! It's the best Angel Food Cake pan ever!! No need to balance your cake on bottles anymore- and the cake comes out of the pan so nicely! Thank you for a great product!!

Love The Pan

I bought this pan because Cooks Illustrated highly recommended it. They were right, I love it. The center insert is heavy enough that no batter leaks, and I like having the feet for the upside down cooling period instead of having to use a bottle.

Very nice cake pan

Have only used a couple times so far, but this pan has a nice weight to it, releases cake very nicely, I believe it's quite a nice pan for the price.

MY MISTAKE

I have never liked a two part cake pan and this is light weight maybe good for a box cake

Cake Pan

These pans are sturdy and will be great to make pound cakes. I am having to get used to the dark pans( change time and oven settings) but overall they have preformed well.

A quality tube pan

I bought this to replace my old and flimsy angel food cake pan. This one is constructed well, easy to clean, and the cake did not slide out, even though the finish is non-stick. I had problems with my old tube pan. The tabs are long enough so I didn't have to put the pan upside down on a bottle. I just wish I had bought this pan several failed cakes ago.

Waiting for the chance to test.

I have not had the opportunity to use the pan yet. but, with 40+ years in the kitchen I can feel the quality and expect the pan to perform as advertised.

Although I haven't used it yet, I'm excited to have an angel food pan with "feet". I've tried some of the other versions and they just don't work! The only reason I gave it a 4 is because I haven't baked in it yet, but the construction, etc. is just what I wanted.
