Our Endurance Double Boiler is the ideal set to own when you need to properly melt chocolate or gently cook delicate sauces. Expertly crafted of 18/8 stainless steel, each pan holds has a sturdy stainless handle and holds 2 quarts; the bottom pan has a tri-ply bottom for even heating. Included is a tempered glass lid that makes viewing the contents much easier. Use the bottom as a regular saucepan when you're not double-boiling food.

Works very well. I found it easy to clean also. And following the tip to add salt to water in lower pan after water started biling does prevent any "marks" on bottom of pan. I wanted it for puddings ~ definitely fulfilled my needs. Good value for the price with proper care.

Although I haven't used this yet (hence the 4 stars), I really like the rounded bottom of the upper boiler; 7-minute frosting using this one will be so much easier than my old one with the straight-up sides (that I gave to my daughter for a project). It's attractive and a substantial item for the price. Home run!

This is Christmas gift for my daughter. She is going to absolutely love this. I know it last forever, if taken care of. It is a heavy , quality double boiler. If I did the cooking I did years ago I would buy another one for myself.
