  • If you only have space for one bowl...

I miss having a pantry full of casserole dishes and mixing bowls, but I'm starting fresh and my new kitchen's tiny. I decided that if I was going to allot shelf space to a bowl, it had better earn its keep. This big glass batter bowl is my solution, and it's great so far. It's a big measuring cup, a mixing bowl (that will pour), and I can throw the lid on it for fridge storage. Best of all, I can make my favourite microwave risotto (blessing on you, Barbara Kafka, author of the Microwave Gourmet) again.

This sucker's heavy, which I find comfortable, but I could imagine it being too much for my grandmother, or my buddy Dave with the cast on his wrist.

    I recommend this product.

  • A great tool

I have so many bowls, all sizes. You might think I collect them. But I always seem to reach for the glass batter bowl. It is so convenient and easy to use. It comes with a lid so mixes will keep in the refrigerator without spilling or having to grab some plastic wrap (which always gives me problems).

    I recommend this product.

  • Better Batter Bowl with Lid

My mom is a fantastic baker but a bit green with envy over my Pyrex batter bowl. I purchased this one for a birthday present along with baking supplies. This was the most excited I've seen her over a present in years! She likes this one better than mine because of the electric mixer friendly straight sides. The lid is a wonderful concept for storing leftovers. Great product and fabulous price.

    I recommend this product.

  • GLASS BOWL

I like the heavy weight of the bowl, the fact it is glass, the lid and measurements on the side. I intend to enjoy it for a long time. Definitely a good choice.

    I recommend this product.

  • Easy batter pours

This product is great for when you are mixing pancake, waffle and cake batters. It is so easy just to mix the ingredients in the bowl and pour into the pans without a mess. It is also great for microwaving dishes and storing in the refrigerator. The only bad part is that it is very heavy, but it works great.

    I recommend this product.

My husband and I enjoy using the one we've had for a long time particularly for leftovers .It holds large quanties of -sauces, chili, and the like. The bowl is durable and doesn't stain. It's a great buy and everyone should have at least one in their kitchen. We now have three.

  • Useful

Although this bowl is heavier than others - it does have some good advantages. It is graduated so you can see amounts, you can mix and pour without a problem and with the lid you can store in it as well.

I use mine almost daily but if you have strength problems in your hands or arms - once full - it might be more difficult to pour.

    I recommend this product.

  • This is the best way to melt divinty, caramel, etc in the microwave. Even a microwave proof plastic container can burn if used for a lone period. Worth the price.

  • Bought two of these to replace a 50 year old batter bowl my wife got from her mother many years ago. I broke it on my birthday, which is why I'm still alive. It's another reason I hate those narrow side by side refrigerators. I wacked my hand on the inside of the door as it swung shut and it knocked the bowl out of my hand.

I had looked at the Pyrex 2 qt measuring bowl and the Pampered Chef version, but the handle on the Pyrex was uncomfortable and the PC would have to be purchased from a distributor. Buying from Cooking.Com was easier. The shape of the AH bowl is similar to the one I broke, but a bit smaller with a wider base. The lid will come in handy.

    I recommend this product.
