Love it!

I purchased one of these ice cream makers after reading an article in the Wall Street Journal & I love it! It is simple to use & turns out a great product quickly. I have made many quarts of ice cream & taken them to a school where I volunteer & it always gets raves - so much so that I bought one for one of my friends there. It can be a bit noisy, but not too bad. I just move it into another room. It is a good value for the price also.

Ice cream, everyone at my house screams.

Ive made gelato and the peanut butter cup ice cream recipe included in the booklet that came with the product. My family and coworkers cannot believe that I can whip this stuff up in an hour or less.

The machine is dummy proof, unless you break something. The recipes are fairly straight forward and you can find additional ones all over the internet. The mixer works well, I had a slight unhappy moment when I found the machine coughing up the candy I had added through the top. If you watch it and use a spatula, no issues.

I have been watching ice cream makers for three years now and had a hard time deciding on which features I wanted. This makes it easy and you can concentrate on the recipes you'd like to try. The first one I ordered was damaged. I simply called the number on the receipt and before the end of the day I had a prepaid return label and another machine on the way. Customer service was a breeze.

This product makes delicious ice cream, plus it's so easy to use and to clean. Every household should own one..I recommended it highly.

Great Ice Cream

Bought this ice cream maker on the recommendation of my mother. It makes wonderful ice cream but is extremely noisy!! Thank goodness it doesn't take very long for it to finish.

Lots of fun. Easy to use. Am still playing with the recipes but enjoy the product. Do allow plenty of time for the liner to freeze and time for the ice cream to finish in the freezer if you want it firmer than soft serve.

Doesn't freeze well!

This product does not freeze well. Best we got was a very thin "shake" consistency of ice cream- following one of the reciepes provided. Disappointing.

We really like this ice cream maker. We found the recipes on the Cuisinart website are better than the ones in the book which accompanies the maker. Also, run the machine longer than the specified time. The consistency and taste are better than the ice cream made with the rock salt and the hand crank! This is one more thing to get your kids involved in the kitchen and with each other!

My gift to a couple that just got married and have an "instant" family with young children from a previous marriage.....WAS A HUGE HIT

Now they have a plan for family night that includes a great homemade dessert that the whole family can participate in.

Now I need to get one for myself!

Quick and handy

My brother keeps trying to take mine. It's nice to skip the mess of the old salt and ice method. I have no idea why anyone would complain about the noise; it really isn't a factor. This is a good opportunity to involve the kids. With the no-egg recipe, the kids can whip up a fresh batch of homemade ice cream in less than an hour. They just may need a little help with the cans and fruit(if desired). Just make sure to have the ingredients ahead of time and to freeze your ice cream bowl the day before. If you want ice cream fast and easy, this is for you!

very easy to use

this is my first ice cream maker, and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to use and how easily it comes apart to clean. The recipies included are somewhat limited, but great for starting out.

I have always made ice cream at home but had gotten out of the habit but with this product it has become easy again and I have been useing it a lot.

Ice Cream

I ordered this and was very pleased with it. The ice cream was verry good . I found it easy to use and easy to clean up. With our seven grandkids we will use it a lot.

The ice cream maker was given as a gift and it was very much appreciated, as we tried it out immediately (I had taken it out of the box and put the freezer bowl in and had it frozen ahead of time. The ice cream was delicious. We used the very first recipe in the manual and it was great..easy to make and not many ingredients.

Since this unit is gear driven it gets noisier as the ice cream begins to harden. The recipes that come with it are so-so (use half and half + cream rather than milk + cream). Easy to use. Stores well. So far we've enjoyed it.

The ice cream maker worked as expected. The recipes worked just fine. One bit of advice. Be prepared to place the ice cream in the freezer after you make it to get the consistancy harder. It coms from the mae like a milk shake. Very happy!

What can I say my wife and kids love this!!!!!!! Very easy to use and makes the product in 25min. A little noisy but hey, it makes healthy ice cream and yogurt in a flash. Uses basic ingredients to make products. Would recommend this to other's with kids etc. Can not wait to try the slushes for the summer.. Also need to make sure when you first use it that the container is completely frozen otherwise it will not work properly(approx 10hours) but after that it takes not that long since it is still frozen.

Good machine, makes quality product. Only reservation is with the amount of noise it omits.

The ice cream maker worked great! Just be sure to freeze the drum long enough. We took the drum out after 6 hours in an average kitchen freezer and although we thought it was frozen enough-it wasn't. We left the drum in the freezer overnight and tried again the next day (20 hours later). It worked the way we expected and the simple vanilla ice cream was terrific. Try the pumpkin pie ice cream recipe too!
