Why We Love It:
It’s so easy to use, which means we use it all the time! The size is convenient and surprisingly compact considering it can make 2-quart batches. We like knowing that we’re using wholesome, real ingredients -- no weird mystery additives like we’ve seen on the labels of store-bought ice cream. Keep a second freezer bowl on hand so that once the kids have had their custom-made icy treats, adults can use the Pure Indulgence to make frozen margaritas!
Brushed metal housing with embossed logo

Cleaning & Care: Use warm soapy water, no abrasive cleaners
When you put the freezer bowl in the freezer don't forget to wrap it in a bag to prevent freezer burn. Don't confuse heavy whipping cream with regular whipping cream. The ice cream needs to be frozen for a few hours after you finish churning to get the correct texture. It comes out of the machine fairly soft.
You cannot buy a extra freezer bowl separately yet, but it will be available for purchase soon.
Pros: Able to make small batches of ice cream product in about 25 minutes without getting out the big old fashioned and much loved white mountain churn. Can use own ingredients and decrease the amount of fat and sugar in the product if that is your goal. Open top allows you to add ingredients at different points in the cycle. Cons: It does make some noise, not unbearable, just requires an upping of the volume for conversation, so I just plan accordingly. The freezer bowl takes up space in the freezer (but you knew that) and if you touch the inside of the bowl when it is frozen--beware---that's what it is---frozen! and so will be your finger tip. I keep mine in a large zip top bag in the freezer, to keep crumbs etc. from getting in it. Not sure about the studiness of the plastic dasher, but so far so good. You do have to get the product out of the bowl when you think it is finished, or the edges will freeze hard. Overall: Had it about 6 weeks and love the item, have developed a recipe to use up all sorts of summer fruits.....would buy it again if/when this one breaks or fails.
I was pleasantly surprised at how convenient this ice cream maker is. I've been able to churn out a number of recipes already. It is really fun to surprise guests with homemade ice cream. All I had to do was mix, pour, process in the machine and freeze overnight. It is really a great little machine.
BOUGHT THIS ICE CREAM MAKER FOR MY HUSBAND SO HE WOULD HAVE AN EASIER WAY OF MAKING ICE CREAM THAN THE OLD FASHION WAY...USING DRY ICE,ETC. HE OPENED THE GIFT ON THE EVE OF THE 4TH OF JULY. EVER SINCE THE FOURTH HE HAS BEEN MAKING EVERYTHING THIS GREAT LITTLE MACHINE ALLOWS. YES, WE'RE VERY VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT.
My brother keeps trying to take mine. It's nice to skip the mess of the old salt and ice method. I have no idea why anyone would complain about the noise; it really isn't a factor. This is a good opportunity to involve the kids. With the no-egg recipe, the kids can whip up a fresh batch of homemade ice cream in less than an hour. They just may need a little help with the cans and fruit(if desired). Just make sure to have the ingredients ahead of time and to freeze your ice cream bowl the day before. If you want ice cream fast and easy, this is for you!
We are using this machine everyday now that it is summer. I put the main bowl in the freezer after use so it is ready for the next batch. The plastic beater bar does not entirely scrape the sides of bowl so ice cream sticks there because it is so cold. But other than having to scrape it down, the product is yummy! I prefer fresh fruit juice sorbets but do ice creams for special events too. Machine fast and efficient, a bit noisy but at least you know it is working!
I love it. It is so simple to make homemade ice cream now. No ice, salt, mess, etc. I have tried several recipes and liked them all. My only hangup is how long it takes to freeze. In my freezer, it takes a good 24 hours. Several times I thought it was completely frozen, but the ice cream wouldn't freeze, and I had to try again later. I think I will buy a second freezer bowl to keep in the freezer for those times you want to make more than one recipe.
The Cuisinart- 2qt-yogurt,sorbet & ice cream maker is one of the best investments i've made. The ice cream any flavor, sorbet any fruit, yogurt and slushies. A must for any home. I keep unit bowl in freezer for best results.
Perhaps because we are trying to make ice cream in June in Arizona, or perhaps our house temperature is too warm - but the ice cream never really froze at all in 35 minutes. Perhaps there was a problem with the complete chill of the 2 quart insert. Perhaps my freezer doesn't get cold enough - but we couldn't get the ice cream to ever set up - I froze the insert overnight - about 18 hrs. The ice cream never set up - and even after storing it in the freezer for 5 hours - it was still soft. (we stored it in the insert.)
I've been wanting to buy an ice cream maker for a long time. I am so pleased with the machine and the ease in which it works. Some recipes have to churn longer than others but for me thats no problem. I love that you can eat dinner, throw the ingredients into the machine, clean up and have dessert when you're finished. It is better to freeze the ice cream for about 2 hours after it's made but i love it fresh out of the machine too.
The ice cream maker worked great! Just be sure to freeze the drum long enough. We took the drum out after 6 hours in an average kitchen freezer and although we thought it was frozen enough-it wasn't. We left the drum in the freezer overnight and tried again the next day (20 hours later). It worked the way we expected and the simple vanilla ice cream was terrific. Try the pumpkin pie ice cream recipe too!
What can I say my wife and kids love this!!!!!!! Very easy to use and makes the product in 25min. A little noisy but hey, it makes healthy ice cream and yogurt in a flash. Uses basic ingredients to make products. Would recommend this to other's with kids etc. Can not wait to try the slushes for the summer.. Also need to make sure when you first use it that the container is completely frozen otherwise it will not work properly(approx 10hours) but after that it takes not that long since it is still frozen.
Makes great ice cream! A little soft at first. I tend to let it mix for 10 to 15 min over the recommended time to make the ice cream firmer. Put in the freezer for and hour or so and you will have near perfect ice cream. It is noisy, but every ice cream make I have ever used was too.
The ice cream maker worked as expected. The recipes worked just fine. One bit of advice. Be prepared to place the ice cream in the freezer after you make it to get the consistancy harder. It coms from the mae like a milk shake. Very happy!
We have used this extensively during last summer, infact, we found out flavored yogurt was even better when frozen in this machine. We like how fast it is and during hot weather it has a permanent spot in the freezer. Then it is ready when we get a whim, usually every other night!
The first recipe I made turned out fantastic. It was just a little soft (which was fine for serving in a bowl), but I put it into the freezer for about 20 minutes and it was perfect. Can't wait to make some more!
