The only thing better than homemade ice cream is quick and easy homemade ice cream! With the Cuisinart 2-qt. Pure Indulgence™ Ice Cream Maker you can make luscious ice cream, sorbet and frozen yogurt at home in as little as 25 minutes. This simple-to-use machine makes up to 2 quarts of your favorite frozen desserts or drinks in one batch. The large ingredient spout allows you to let your imagination run wild: add your own fresh fruit, crumbled cookies, candy, or anything else you can think of to milk, cream, yogurt or fruit juice.

Some of us may recall the old days of home ice cream making: rock salt, ice, mixing by hand, and frequently disappointing, inconsistent results. One look at this sleek, fully automatic dessert maker and you’ll know those days are long gone. Everything happens in one place -- the integrated motor, double-insulated freezer bowl and automatic mixing paddle do all the work. All you need to do is dream up your next delicious frozen recipe. The mixing paddle and freezer bowl are removable, so cleanup is quick and easy and you can get right down to the important business of enjoying your freshly frozen creation.

Making ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet and frozen drinks.

  • Making ice cream with this couldn't be easier

I didn't realize how much 2 qts of ice cream is.

    Here are some tips:

When you put the freezer bowl in the freezer don't forget to wrap it in a bag to prevent freezer burn.
Don't confuse heavy whipping cream with regular whipping cream.
The ice cream needs to be frozen for a few hours after you finish churning to get the correct texture. It comes out of the machine fairly soft.

You cannot buy a extra freezer bowl separately yet, but it will be available for purchase soon.

    I recommend this product.

  • It is a great machine but the problem I have with it is that is a lot noisier than the smaller 1 1/2 quart
The noise is almost too much for the kitchen. I plug it in at another outlet in the house

    I recommend this product.

  • so far so good....

Pros: Able to make small batches of ice cream product in about 25 minutes without getting out the big old fashioned and much loved white mountain churn. Can use own ingredients and decrease the amount of fat and sugar in the product if that is your goal. Open top allows you to add ingredients at different points in the cycle.
Cons: It does make some noise, not unbearable, just requires an upping of the volume for conversation, so I just plan accordingly. The freezer bowl takes up space in the freezer (but you knew that) and if you touch the inside of the bowl when it is frozen--beware---that's what it is---frozen! and so will be your finger tip. I keep mine in a large zip top bag in the freezer, to keep crumbs etc. from getting in it. Not sure about the studiness of the plastic dasher, but so far so good. You do have to get the product out of the bowl when you think it is finished, or the edges will freeze hard.
Overall: Had it about 6 weeks and love the item, have developed a recipe to use up all sorts of summer fruits.....would buy it again if/when this one breaks or fails.

    I recommend this product.

  • Great ice cream maker - and fast!

Just be sure to freeze the container at least overnight. We've had fun experimenting with different flavors.

  • We've only used a couple of times so far. Once to make frozen yogurt and once for real ice cream. We actually liked the frozen yogurt better, but both times the machine worked great. It's a little noisy and best to have in a different room but you have to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get to thick and burn out the motor. It's extremely easy to use and clean up and really quick if you keep the freezer bowl frozen all the time.

  • Noisy but worth it!

Easy to use, works great but boy is it LOUD. After my first batch I learned to plug it in in the basement - not really a problem since it only runs for a half-hour.

  • 2- Qt Pure Indulgence ice cream maker

This ice cream maker is wonderful. The ice cream was done in about a half hour. I made the simple recipe and used Low Fat Half and Half, along with Splendar for sweetening. With vanilla, we had a delicious low fat, low sugar ice cream. Best product I have seen in awhile.

  • buy Cuisinart and you always get the best

I have had a 1.5-qt. Frozen yogurt Maker by Cuisinart since it came out and used it several times a week. I still have it and it is still working fine. I bought the 2-qt. so I would not have to make yogurt three times a week but only two. Take my word the 2-qt. is well worth the money which that alone is a great deal. It is not noisy, cleans up well and is a very smart looking Maker. You can always count on getting the best when you buy a Cuisinart.

  • Best Ice Cream Maker I've Tried

This is best Ice Cream Maker I have tried; and believe me over the years I have tried quite a few. I froze the container for 24+ hours and when I put the mixture in, it immediately started to freeze. My husband and I had some as soft serve and froze the rest. The next day it was solid and just as delicious. I would definitely recommend this item; in fact I am going to buy one for my Mom and Dad for Christmas.

  • WOW

This is a great machine by all accounts. I would suggest ordering an additional freezer container so that is you are inclined to make two batches you would be able to do so the same day. Not a big inconvenince just have to be organized to plan ahead. I have made several ice cream flavors and all have been wonderful. The lemon lime sorbet was made specifically as a base for margarita's, they were the best I have ever tasted! We keep this sorbet in the freezer so that we can enjoy one anytime!

You will not be disappointed if you purchase this machine!

  • This is so easy to use! I have made both Chocolate and Fresh Peach
ice creams. Both tasted really fresh and creamy. My husband has announced that it makes better ice cream than we can buy anywhere,
with the advantage that we know what is in it. It is super easy to use and clean. I'm kicking myself for not buying it the first time I saw it advertised.

  • This is a great ice cream maker. You store the bowl in the freezer, which is OK since you can put things in it, so you don't loose too much freezer space. And that means you can always make ice-cream to be ready within a few hours, so you don't have to plan ahead. We've so far made fresh strawberry ice cream and fresh peach ice cream, and both were fabulous -- no comparison at all to even the best brands of store bought ice cream. We've also made cantaloupe sorbet, which was amazing. The only downside to this model, besides the need to store the bowl in the freezer, is that it is kind of noisy -- but it's not a big problem. I would strongly recommend it.
