Everything happens in one place -- the integrated motor, double-insulated freezer bowl and automatic mixing paddle do all the work. All you need to do is dream up your next delicious frozen recipe. Making ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet and frozen drinks.
Why We Love It:
It’s so easy to use, which means we use it all the time! The size is convenient and surprisingly compact considering it can make 2-quart batches. We like knowing that we’re using wholesome, real ingredients -- no weird mystery additives like we’ve seen on the labels of store-bought ice cream. Keep a second freezer bowl on hand so that once the kids have had their custom-made icy treats, adults can use the Pure Indulgence to make frozen margaritas!
Brushed metal housing with embossed logo
Removable mixing paddle and freezer bowl

Cleaning & Care: Use warm soapy water, no abrasive cleaners
When you put the freezer bowl in the freezer don't forget to wrap it in a bag to prevent freezer burn. Don't confuse heavy whipping cream with regular whipping cream. The ice cream needs to be frozen for a few hours after you finish churning to get the correct texture. It comes out of the machine fairly soft.
You cannot buy a extra freezer bowl separately yet, but it will be available for purchase soon.
Pros: Able to make small batches of ice cream product in about 25 minutes without getting out the big old fashioned and much loved white mountain churn. Can use own ingredients and decrease the amount of fat and sugar in the product if that is your goal. Open top allows you to add ingredients at different points in the cycle. Cons: It does make some noise, not unbearable, just requires an upping of the volume for conversation, so I just plan accordingly. The freezer bowl takes up space in the freezer (but you knew that) and if you touch the inside of the bowl when it is frozen--beware---that's what it is---frozen! and so will be your finger tip. I keep mine in a large zip top bag in the freezer, to keep crumbs etc. from getting in it. Not sure about the studiness of the plastic dasher, but so far so good. You do have to get the product out of the bowl when you think it is finished, or the edges will freeze hard. Overall: Had it about 6 weeks and love the item, have developed a recipe to use up all sorts of summer fruits.....would buy it again if/when this one breaks or fails.

Frozen Yogurt, Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker
Frozen Yogurt, Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker by Cuisinart This is a wonderful machine! I wish I had bought it long ago. The ice cream is delicious...and making it within 1/2 hour is fun. It makes just enough to satisfy, without having a lot left over in the freezer to temp a person to further indulge. I feel very special when I announce I have homemade ice cream to serve.
This held its cold temperature long enough to freeze the ice creams and sorbets we have made in it so far. Some of the cheaper units run out of cold before the ice cream is done. This worked very well. It is noisy though.
I found the Cuisinart ice cream etc maker very easy to use, easy clean up and not noisy. My first attempt, chocolate ice cream received rave reviews from the family,I look forward to being in the spot light again soon....Mary
Because I'm allergic to milk, I don't often have frozen desserts (the soy versions are usually quite pricey). And frozen soy yogurt? Can't find it in a store anywhere near me. It's been fantastic to be able to make my own frozen yogurt and soy
This ice cream machine is much easier to use than the previous 1 1/2 quart machine we owned. It looks great and makes wonderful ice cream. After I made the ice cream, I tried to immediately move it to a container to put in the freezer - don't do that as it melted quickly! I will probably freeze the ice cream for a while before I put it in a different container the next time I use the machine. I didn't really notice the noise - the other maker we had was pretty loud and I guess I just expected this one to be loud, so it didn't bother me. It is awesome!
Makes healthy soft serve for a family of 4 in 20 min, but bowl must be thoroughly frozen. It did take some testing to find a recipe that resulted in a creamy finish, but now we use the machine much more often than I expected.
Since this unit is gear driven it gets noisier as the ice cream begins to harden. The recipes that come with it are so-so (use half and half + cream rather than milk + cream). Easy to use. Stores well. So far we've enjoyed it.
I love this Cuisinart ice cream/yogart/sorbet maker. I love the slightly bigger container that it provides and it's so slmple to use. I recently made peach ice cream - a family recipe - and it turned out wonderful! It was ready in under 30 minutes. My children also had fun helping me make the ice cream and the clear plastic top made it easy and fun for them to help me check to see if the ice cream was done. I did however, leave the container in the freezer for 2 days to make sure that it was absolutely frozen cold enough before use.
