I have ordered this product numerous times and been very satisfied. However, this time the tea bags arrived without the protective packaging/bag pictured above. The individual tea bags were loosely put into a carboard box. In order for that to have happenend someone clearly handled each tea bag which is not at all sanitary for a food product. Did any get dropped on the floor? That is just one questions that comes to mind about the cleanliness. Even if having your food product put into a packing box was tolerable, the fact that the box was not a tight seal allowed the tea to become exposed to air and reduced the freshness of the tea. In the past, when I opened the bag the aroma of the tea was strong and clearly fresh. This time I could not even smell the tea at all, just cardboard. I was very unhappy and immediately ordered it again, telling the CS person that I wanted the protective sealed bag that the product is supposed to come in and the way it is advertised. She was also very surprised and placed a new order. The tea arrived again without packaging and loose tea bags in a cardboard box. I will not order products from your company again unless this problem is resolved. I want clean, sealed, protective packaging for a food product. And by the way, that is how it is advertised in the picture!
Make the Starbuck's "shaken iced tea" at home, when you want. This is the same product they use. I found it best to pour 1 quart boiling water over one bag, wait 5 minutes. Then, squeeze the bag gently, and add one more quart of cold water to the pitcher or container. Then for a glass use 50% concentrate and 50% water!
If you like Starbuck's Black Iced Tea, but do not want to pay $2.00 for it, this item is for you. This is the exact blend that they use.

Read on the web that this is the tea they use at Starbucks. I've only tried it once so far, and its not exactly like Starbucks, but it tastes very good. And I have a few alternative methods of brewing to try, so I am optimistic.
I have been ordering these tea bags for several years and this time they do not taste the same. Tazo has changed this tea. Instead of the delicious flowery taste I love, it just taste like regular iced teas you can get at the grocery store. Please bring back the flavor I love! Customer Service was good to send me the Tropical blend free of charge as I called to send this back. Thank you so much for your kindness. L.
Tazo has taken a fantastic Black Ice Tea and turned it into c**p. Tastes the same as any mass market tea you can get at any grocery store. The old version I could not live without. After trying this version I returned it to Cooking.com for a refund. I didn't even care if it cost me almost $8.00 to ship it back. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! This reminds me of the New Coke debacle. PLEASE TAZO BRING BACK THE ORGINAL VERSION.
I have been ordering these tea bags for about seven years now. They make the best tea.
Since this past winter was warmer than normal, I drank more ice tea and my supply dwindled before I realized I had no additional stock. I tried several other brands of tea as I patiently waited for a new delivery. The other teas were not as good.
The description says that this tea is "A crisp, refreshing blend of premium black teas with subtle citrus notes". This is the description of the original Starbucks black tea that I was looking for, but this tea is straight black tea, Tazo Awake I believe, and does not have the advertised citrus undertones. Starbucks has updated their black tea, so the product description should be updated accordingly. Gave it 3 stars due to the disappointment of not getting what was advertised.
The first time I bought this tea it was just like starbucks black iced tea. Then when the package changed the taste changed as well.
If it were the same as when I first bought it, I would have rated it a 5 instead of a 3.
I usually bought this as gifts for my Starbucks addictive friends. At first they loved it. They say it taste different now too.
I'm a little disappointed with this batch of tea. It doesn't have as much flavor as it should have. It makes me wonder if it's been sitting on a shelf for awhile. Also, why don't they offer the 2 quart bags anymore? They were more practical for home use.
I've bought this tea at Starbucks and at Cooking.com for years. And although I will continue to purchase I am disappointed with the sutle changes tazo has made in this blend. The citrus tones are very hard to detect in the new blend. I reviewed this product years ago and gave it my highest praise. The new not so much, as I'm a person who prefers unsweetened tea I have always relied on this brand to deliver a crisp light citrus taste. I do hope Tazo will return to the original shaken black iced tea formula and packaging. Possibly the cardboard box is altering the flavor. Please, please return to the original formula and packaging and I won't hesitate to give this 5 stars again.
I've always ordered this in the past. I don't go to Starbucks anymore , why bother since I can purchase them online. Yes, you have to boil some water to make it to one gallon because this comes in a big loose tea bags. Purified or distilled water will taste better same goes for the ice. Ice from your fridge might change the taste a bit.
The Black Iced Tea Bags seem to no longer be available at target. I took a chance and order, unfortunately a large quantity only to find out that this is not the same. The bags have more material, which cause me to wonder if that's why the tea is cloudy. I've been making tea for years and know it's not the water or the ice. It's these tea bags.
I love this tea. It is better than anything in the supermarket. However, I can drink this same Tazo iced tea at a local Hyatt Resort when I dine there, and this is not the quality of that product. Your product loses its full citrus flavors by the time it gets to my home and then deteriorates more after that. I am now trying to put it into vacuum food storage bags to try to preserve the original flavor. I would love to have the product that I drink at the resort. I don't know what that would require from you, but I would like it a whole lot more if you did something to keep in the flavors. Better packaging perhaps? Please?
This is the same tea Starbuck's uses to make their iced tea. I make mine at home for about $1 per gallon and I even decaffenate the tea bag, so my tea is decaffenated. I have boen buying this product for years and am very happy.
