Not as expensive nor as heavy as some on the market; but, since it is used only occasionally, it is quite a bargain and works every bit as well as the more costly ones.

Wonderful.Perfect fit on two burners, and the rack did double duty in the oven.

I've never seen a fish poacher before and think it's a great idea.

This fish poacher is exactly what I wanted. I rated it a 4 on a scale of 5 because the 5 is an All Clad. Most of may cookware is All Clad but their fishpoacher is (4) four times the cost of this one. I do not think the it is worth the difference because 1. I don't use it as often as I use all of my other cookware and 2. Even it is not the real heavy wall construction it will perform just fine in the oven. I love the All Clad and recommend it all the time but I just couldn't justify the difference in my own mind.

Great poacher-- but BIG

This poacher works wonderfully, and is very solid. But it's BIG. Before buying, think about the size of the fish you would usually cook. If the poacher is larger than you need for your fish, you can still use it, but you will need much more liquid to cover the fish, and that makes a difference if you are poaching in something other than plain water. It takes a lot of wine, even mixed with water, or a lot of stock, to make enough flavored poaching liquid for this 20" poacher. Buy the size you really need, not a bigger size.
