Very, Very Unhappy

by Amanda, CA
September 2, 2008

I have ordered this product numerous times and been very satisfied.  However, this time the tea bags arrived without the protective packaging/bag pictured above.  The individual tea bags were loosely put into a carboard box.  In order for that to have happenend someone clearly handled each tea bag which is not at all sanitary for a food product.  Did any get dropped on the floor?  That is just one questions that comes to mind about the cleanliness.  Even if having your food product put into a packing box was tolerable, the fact that the box was not a tight seal allowed the tea to become exposed to air and reduced the freshness of the tea.  In the past, when I opened the bag the aroma of the tea was strong and clearly fresh.  This time I could not even smell the tea at all, just cardboard.  I was very unhappy and immediately ordered it again, telling the CS person that I wanted the protective sealed bag that the product is supposed to come in and the way it is advertised.  She was also very surprised and placed a new order.  The tea arrived again without packaging and loose tea bags in a cardboard box.  I will not order products from your company again unless this problem is resolved.  I want clean, sealed, protective packaging for a food product.  And by the way, that is how it is advertised in the picture!

Make the Starbuck's "shaken iced tea" at home, when you want. This is the same product they use. I found it best to pour 1 quart boiling water over one bag, wait 5 minutes. Then, squeeze the bag gently, and add one more quart of cold water to the pitcher or container. Then for a glass use 50% concentrate and 50% water!

Excellent!

I love the Tazo "black" ice tea pouches, and this is the ONLY place where you can buy the "TAZO BLACK ICE TEA" bags, besides Starbucks. I love the fact that 1 bag makes a gallon. And since some of my friends like it extra strong, I use one bag for 2 quarts, and then it takes up less room in my fridge, and then we add water, for those who like it less strong.

Just like Starbuck's

If you like Starbuck's Black Iced Tea, but do not want to pay $2.00 for it, this item is for you. This is the exact blend that they use.

The BEST Iced Tea!

by Denise, OR
July 2, 2007

This is the best iced tea I've ever had! It's exactly the tea you get in Starbucks. I emailed Tazo to ask where to buy it and they actually wrote me back! I love this stuff and HIGHLY recommend it.

Tazo Iced Tea

by Kathi, CA
April 28, 2009

When I first found this product at Starbucks a couple of summers ago. I got hooked. Then as the fall approached Sbux quit selling it! I couldn't find it anywhere. I tried to access the Tazo website and buy direct but was unsuccessful. When I Googled "Tazo Black Iced Tea" your site came up and I ordered successfully. This is my second order from your site. Thank you!

Great choice

by Mary, WA
June 7, 2009

I am addicted to the venti black ice tea at my local coffee shop. After searching for the tea that they use, and before they packaged it themselves to sell in their store, I found it on Cooking.com, and for the best price! The tea bags are huge and I really do not need to drink a gallon at a time so I buy empty tea bags and put one heaping baby spoonful in the tea bags to make two cups of tea. You can double the amount of tea and make four cups real easy. I will usually drink two cups of hot tea in the morning and then refrigerate the rest, for ice tea later. By the way this tea even tastes good hot. After you pour the hot water in the tea pot let it steep for 5-10 minutes. If you leave the tea bag in longer than that it takes on a different flavor. One thing you should know is that you should NOT use a tea infusser as the holes are too big for the fine grind of this tea and your cup will be loaded with micro tea leaves. So, save the frustration and wasted cup of tea and purchase tea empty tea bags.

THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE IS THAT THE TEA WASN'T IN A BAG. THEY PACKED THE TEA IN THE BOX AND SHIPPED IT. DIDN'T LIKE THAT AT ALL.

Best iced tea

by Ana Lisa, AZ
June 24, 2009

I love this ice tea...drink it all summer. I make my own simple syrup and carry it around in my Starbuck tumbler while I'm out and about in HOT Arizona.

Every summer I order these tea bags. Everything else pales in comparison.

Making Starbucks black iced tea at home.

by Christine, MA
October 22, 2008

In trying to save money these days, I'v decided to make my own black iced tea at home instead of buying it at Starbucks every day. I am pretty satisfied with the taste, however I was not pleased with the way it arrived. It is pictured in a white sealed bag, instead however it arrived as a cardboard box full of unlabled loose tea bags that I had to transfer into zipper bags. I work in the food service industry and find this shipping proceedure extremely unsanitary. I probably would not purchase this again unless they change the shipping process. Yuck.

Tazo Iced Tea Bags

by Pamela, AL
May 27, 2007

I really like this product, the tea bags were a little to big, I thought they would be the same size as the ones I got at Starbucks. But the product was the same as I had previously bought.

Tea for Two

by Robert, CA
January 5, 2009

This tasty blend of black tea with it's subtle citrus notes is without a doubt the best flavored iced tea imaginable. The trick is care, what do I mean by care? Respect! Most people boil water which reaches a temperature of 212*F, good quality black teas need to be steeped no more than 5 minutes in water less than 212*F best temp range is 199*F-205*F. Each one of these tea bags makes a gallon of pure goodness. I am a hardcore iced tea fanatic and this one stands alone for quality and taste and value for your buck. This is the same tea Starbucks will charge you 2.25$ for a Vente, now you can make a gallon of this at home and keep it in your refrigerator and save a ton of money and get a better glass of tea on your own. So all you iced tea lovers out there need to do yourself a favor and make your own black iced tea at home, just don't settle for cheap tasteless blends, make sure you pick this one up, it's the best black iced tea available, period! Now the only small drawback is the way it's packaged, it comes in a thin plastic bag with 24 pouches, but there's an easy fix, separate the bags into two freezer ziplock bags and keep them in your freezer, this will keep the essential tea oils intact longer making for a great glass of tea every time you make a gallon. Also do me and you a favor and always use filtered water, be good to yourself when it comes to flavor and don't use tap water, the high count of total dissolved solids and chlorine will alter your teas flavor, so use good filtered water, I use the Pure Water system it hooks right up to your sink at home and filters out(Total Dissolved Solids) hard particles, lead, mercury, chlorine and allot of the other funk that will make your teas taste flat.

This product gets my highest rating!

With respect, Rob.

Bag it!

This product should come in the paper bag as it is pictured, not loose tea bags in a box. You are misrepresenting the product.

product package sucks

by marty, CA
February 5, 2009

this used to come in a resealable bag to keep in the teas freshness now the whole large box is just shrink wrapped and once its open to seal it i have to use another container this was a rude awakening as the pics on the site even now still show the old resealable bag very inconvienent at best annoying as well especially since the pic here still shows the bag.
