I was so pleased when I received my new Lodge cast iron, double-sided griddle. The quality and feel of this item will surely outlast me! It is exactly what I've wanted and needed for week-end breakfasts and more.

The opening in the Griddle for the handle funnels heat from the burner up to your wrist/arm and can burn you. Must be careful. This is the only serious flaw in the design that I have found after using it several times.

This cast-iron skillet cooks things fast and even. I look forward to further seasoning the griddle for even better-tasting food!

I have tried several times (after seasoning) to make pancakes on the flat side only to have them stick. I will give up doing that on this griddle. I will not do hamburgers on the grill side for the same reason. Will do steaks or chicken breasts on the grill side. It is very heavy.

I love the grill and it's versatility; but forgot how heavy cast iron can be. I would not recommend it to someone that has difficulty lifting.
