Canner with Rack

Overall the canner was great I have a convection burner and it works great. I would recommend to everyone that they remove the rack as soon as they are done as it rusted overnight. (The water was to hot to dump and I left it sitting)

I used this canner (water bath) today for strawberry jam! It was awesome!!! I talked my sister into getting one! If you can you NEED this canner!!! You will not be disappointed!

I had been looking for a canner with a flat bottom to use on my ceramic stove top. When I saw this one on the web site I thought I would give it a try. I ordered it and received the shipment within 5 days. I was very pleased by the quality and the weight of the canner, It is not cheaply made. I have used it 3 times to can pickles and it has preformed very nicely. I would recommend this canner to anyone who does a lot of canning. It is the best boiling water canner I have found and it is worth the price.

Replacement of canner rack review

The rack that came with the canning pot became defective after the third time we used it. I called customer service and explained what was wrong and they immediately sent a replacement. This company has one of the best customer service departments I ever had to deal with.

Nice Flat Bottom Canner

I have a glass top stove so I couldn't use the old type canner. Had been using my stock pot with a towel in the bottom for a couple years but decided to finally buy this one. The only issue I can see is the rack does not have dividers for the jars.

Canner and lid

Pleased with the quality except the fit of the lid on the pot. The lid is too small for the pot and allow steam n water to escape around the sides. it makes a mess on the stove top and wasters energy. Poor quality control and design.

Good product, a little pricey

Product works as advertised and seems to be well made. We are new to canning, so we'll see how it holds up.

Excellent canner!

Solidly built, but not too heavy. I'm a small person, 4'11", but I can still lift this with water in it from sink to stove without trouble. This hasn't rusted or warped. Works GREAT on a flat-topped glass stove. The bottom is flat as can be. Highly recommended!

Rusting

I recently received the item,used it once on o1/25/2010. Once I completed my canning process,and removed the hot water from the pot to clean and put it away; I observed "rust" on the inside bottom of the pot and on the rack at its various points.

This Ball canner will save me money

The stainless steel Ball water bath canner is wonderful. I have canned 1,200 quarts of various foods over the last 18 years using an enameled steel water bath canner. It rusted and made the canning water brown. My new Ball canner is so lovely compared with the old one. It has vents in the lid so you can keep the lid on while canning and see how it is boiling. I used one burner on level 4 of 10 on the gas burner and it kept a steady boil. The old one required two burners on high gas setting. It will pay for itself in gas savings in a few years.
