For canning your summer and fall fruits and vegetables, this 23-quart pressure canner and cooker is designed for easy, confident home canning, the only method recommended safe by the U.S.D.A. for low-acid food preparation. With its deluxe pressure gauge, it prepares food 3 to 10 times faster than ordinary methods. Comes with a special air vent/cover lock that allows pressure to build only when the cover is closed properly, and also prevents the cover from being opened until the pressure is safely reduced. Ideal for use on regular and smooth-top ranges. Holds 24 half-pint jars, 20 pints or 7 quarts. Extra strong and durable, it is warp-resistant and heavy-gauge for fast, even heating and a long life. Included is a cooking rack and a complete instruction and recipe booklet for canning meats and seafood, too. Canner fits 24 1/2-pint jars, up to 20 1-pint jars, 7 1-quart jars.

Have used the pressure canner many times since I purchased it. I have used it for the boiling bath method and pressure canning. It is a good size and easy to clean. Would recommend this to anyone seriously considering canning there own food.

Excellent build quality, great product. I wish the manual was a little more extensive about additional vegetables to can, but there are a few websites that help that out.
I love it, I just wish I could put assorted jars with varying foods in at the same time to get it all done quicker.

was joyed to add this presssure cooker to our kitchen.
SIZE was great and cut cooking small batchs to one larg batch and adds more
time to complette other task or try new recipes or just extra time for me
too shop here where its easy and very rewarding too.
I use cooking.com has my dream kitchen because price and item i want
is great price and best product for my money.
OVER all i rarly shop else where and not to find what i want is very rare.

I purchased this product, after reading various reviews that said it was a great product for the price and I have to agree. Being a novice canner, not really sure what to look for, this canner is oerfect. Great holding capacity, easy instructions, just a great pressure cooker.

I have not had occasion to use the pressure canner yet for its intended purpose, but will be using it to heat a quantity of hot water today.

I have several sizes of pressure cookers and decided to add the 23 qt to my set. I use them frequently and because our garden is so large this year I will be using this one for canning. Can't wait to get started.

One of may first considerations in selecting this item was that it is made in the USA. My next consideration was that it could be used on a smoothtop range. While I have not yet used this pressure canner,I have, however, used products from this manufacturer in the past and have been completely satisfied with those purchases.

I bought this for a Christmas gift for my son, so it hasn't been used yet. Everything went according to plan and I recieved it in good time. I was disappointed in the inside box. It was pretty beat up. Since it's a gift I was wanting it to look good. I checked everything and it seems to be there so I'm hoping he will be pleased.
