Taste Great! Instructions Bad

I was initially disappointed as my cake arrived with the dry ice gone and no instructions? After two failed attempts to get someone to email the instructions, I finally was given verbal instructions on how to handle the cake as I wanted to serve Thanksgiving which was 7 days away. Fortunately on Thanksgiving Day, everyone loved the cake as well as myself. Not sure I would spend that much to have a cake shipped, so may attempt Paula's recipe in her cookbook.

The coconut cake tasted good but I was disappointed by how dry and dense it was, however none of the people I served it to complained. Perhaps I'm just use to a more lighter version. It arrived just as promised and saved me a lot of time in the kitchen. Thank you

This is the best Coconut Cake ever. I love this cake and usually end up eating most of it myself. It is moist, sweet and perfectly baked.

This is the second time I have had this cake. Its the best ever. So moist and delicious. I bought it for my birthday and it was gone instantly not a piece left or a crumb. My friends and family loved it.

My husband was loving life after eating the coconut cake, its his favorite. I thought it was overly sweet and I am a diabetic so I could only sample it but it was a hit with my family

Just didnt like the cake, over priced, dried out. I wouldnt bye it again. Local stores coconut cake is better than that one.

Was very disappointed in this cake. I thought it would be spectacular based on the reviews. It is ordinary at best. The cream really has no distinct flavor and the cake though very dense also really does not have a distinct flavor.The cake needs some flavor. Sorry but for the money it was not worth it. More importantly to take it as a gift for Christmas was embarrasing as I had talked up this Paula Dean cake. I would have been better off from my local bakery. Sorry will not order again.

The instuctions had a label over them, had to guessimate what I was suppose to do...there was absolutely no dry ice in box and cake was dry, not moist at all...The value would have been excellent for the price had the cake not been so dry

Cake is delicious but the icing is too sweet. Most of the people i shared it with agreed. Tasty icing but you needed water after eating it. Shipping is WAY to much and makes the order too costly.

The coconut cake is awesome! This is the second year that I have ordered it for my husband's birthday and he loves it! Coconut cake is his favorite. The cake is moist and delicious and the icing is perfect. I will definitely order it again.

Cake was moist; yet too sweet. My family & I had to squeeze lemon juice wedges in the body of the cake to eat. Plus, filling too bland & too sweet. No I must seach for a coconut cake recipe that is less sweet & more flavorful.

This is my 2nd cake ordered & not as flavorful for some reason....thus the 4 star rating. I ordered the 1st one for my husband & the 2nd one for both of us !!!! We giggled when it was delivered like two little kids in a candy store.....that's how good it is !!!!

I have ordered this cake 3 times, obviously it is one of my favs. People I serve this to love it. I couldn't make it myself any better. I do think its a bit pricey, but I splurge every once in a while and it order it.
