Slice your way to healthier snacks and garnishes with the Wusthof 3.5-in. Grand Prix II Paring Knife, which is ideal for cutting fruits and vegetables. The small, easy-to-handle knife can be used with foods held in your hand, eliminating the need to bring out a cutting board for simple tasks. The precision-forged stainless steel blade lets you make precise cuts, so you can even use it to shave a small piece of cheese off a block or cut a thin piece of cucumber to use on a sandwich. The ergonomically designed handle is made of slip-resistant plastic to help you maintain a steady grip when you're dealing with juicy or slippery fruits, and the seamless transition between the blade and handle makes this German-made knife easy to clean when you're done. Best Used For: We like to use this knife to peel apples, slice peaches and cut bananas into chunks to create a colorful fruit plate that everyone in the family will enjoy. • Go-to paring knife

Reasonably sharp, sturdy, balanced, ergonomic non-slip grip. A little bit lighter than it looks.

It is not a chef's knife though, so don't expect to use it like one. I still use a 6-inch chef's knife to section and core an apple.

    I recommend this product.

  • Replacement knife. This is my favorite all around paring tool. Took old one with me to work one day and somebody else thought it was their favorite too!

The weight is wonderful; I like things with that aren't so light. The knife does work as an extension of my hand.

  • It has a very cheap handle that took away from the knife. I prefer wooden handles

  • Excellent

This is not my first Whustuf knife. I bought this one because I was totally pleased with my 8" chefs knife, but needed a smaller blade for certain things. This one fills my needs completely and is well made. Top quality. NOTE: One reason I selected this blade is the very pointed tip. Beware. You can easily injure yourself if not maintianing focus.

    I recommend this product.

  • Will Have For A Long Time

I really like this knife and will probably have it for a long time. I wanted a knife that was sharp and of good quality so I could have it a long time. It has a nice weight to it and the handle is shaped nicely. It also looks very nice and modern. I also bought also bought the chef's knife to go with it and these are the only two knives I will ever really need (besides a bread knife).

    I recommend this product.

  • I have worked as a professional chef in the past and so am well aquainted with quality cutlery. This is not the best knife I have ever owned, nor is it by far the worst. This is a well made knife and razor sharp out of the box. The handle is comfortable and the knife is well balanced. I wasn't particularly thrilled by the emblem embedded in the handle and had I know that was what that was in the picture, (I thought it was a rivet) I may have passed on this model. Overall it is consistent with Wusthoff's usual quality and a bargain at the price I paid from Cooking.com. It remains to be seen how long the edge lasts and how well it holds an edge when it gets re-sharpened. I send all my knifes to a professional for sharpening and they do great work. I highly recommend this knife as a good all-purpose parer. I also recommend any serious cook get their knives sharpened professionally and regularly.

    I recommend this product.
