We are big fans of Anolon cooking items and this is a tremendous addition to our collection. We really like it and highly recommend it for everyday kitchen use. Preparing and draining pasta is our primary reason for purchasing this pan and we have found a number of other uses for it.

great sauce/soup pan

by Star, NC
July 12, 2011

This pan is really great! I like the ergonomics of it - it is deep but not too large, making it easy to stir soups, sauces, etc. without spillage. I also very much like the straining lid that has two different size strainers (one on each side). The pan is not too heavy and easy to lift and has a nice handle that doesn't get hot. This pan is really nice for cooking or stirring with children because the high sides prevent spillage when stirring. And, last of all, the nonstick feature is fabulous! You can make the mac and cheese in it and nothing sticks! Wonderful product. I am so glad I bought it!!!!

I am a big fan of Anolon Advanced cookware so I started out with high expectations. We like this pot because it's perfect for spaghetti, or any long pasta, for two. An earlier reviewer mentioned this and it's true.

We've always had a problem finding a pot small enough and deep enough to effectively cook pasta for two but this one works perfectly. It's convenient to be able to drain the pasta without using a collander.

Drain lid pan

by Jeanette, SD
December 28, 2006

I was looking for a pan that I could use to drain vegetables and pasta, there are very few available. This was the only one I found that had the drain spouts and the holes in the side of the lid rather than on top of the lid. This pan is quite heavy, much heavier than I thought it would be so, draining the liquid takes a little more muscle. It seems to be of good quality and serves the purpose for which I intended it.

i love this pot. i bought 2. i wish it came in a 3 qt or 3 1/2 qt size, even an 8 qt! the straining lid is the best. caution- u must hold lid as it does not lock...i still love it. good high sides too.

Looks great and works well. Note that the lid doesn't lock-in while you pour hot water out and, while the product doesn't claim to do that, just be prepared to hold the lid down. It would be easier if there was a helper handle opposite the long one.

I have used this pot so many times since I received it. It just seems to be the perfect size for so many things I make. I like that it is a deep pot. It is very strong and sturdy and I feel it will last a lifetime. The two different size drainage holes are very useful and easy to use. Also good value for the price.

Definitely Worth The Chance

by Grant, IL

Most often, I'm a skeptical person, believing you get what you pay for. In this case, the Anolon Nonstick Straining Sauce Pan was certainly the "exception to the rule". The pan is fantastic, the perfect size for so many recipes and what a dream to clean at an awesome price!
I would love to see the next size up... for when the family comes home for holidays!
