Strain hot liquids without the use of a colander. This 3.5-qt. saucepan has an ingeniously designed lid with built-in holes (both small and large) that let you drain liquids; just press down firmly on the lid while draining. The pan also features DuPont's Autograph 2 nonstick coating inside and out for enduring performance, superior durability and ease of cleaning. It's made of hard-anodized aluminum for fast, even heat distribution with no hot spots that can scorch food, and incorporates 18/10 stainless steel and silicone rubber Anolon SureGrip handles for a comfortable, confident and cool grip when lifting and carrying. The clear, tempered glass lid features the same type of handle, and has a large loop for easier grasping. Handles are oven-safe to 400°F.

  • Glad I purchased!

The pouring holes are definitely a great convenience. Also the size of the bottom of the pan is a perfect fit for the top of my ceramic cooktop stove. I needed new cookware but did not want to purchase a set and appreciate that cooking.com offers the option of buying an individual pan, et al.

    I recommend this product.

  • I was one of those unfortunate souls who purchased the TV version of this pot. This is significantly better. Pasta never sticks, even without salt and it cleans up quite easily. Also, because the lid if ventilated, it boils quickly with no spill over

    I recommend this product.

  • Anolon 3.5 -qt Strainer Pan

PRO: 3.5 qt is the excellent size for steaming vegetables when used with an internal collapsable strainer.

PRO: Perferated holes on the lid allow easy straining yet when the lid is rotated retains retains the heat in the pan for cooking.

CON: Rubber handle grip, while very good at retaing the heat of the pan handle, became loose after extended use. Consider an alternate adhesive
    like silicone or flexible epoxy

    Overall rating: 9

    I recommend this product.

  • Definitely Worth The Chance

Most often, I'm a skeptical person, believing you get what you pay for. In this case, the Anolon Nonstick Straining Sauce Pan was certainly the "exception to the rule". The pan is fantastic, the perfect size for so many recipes and what a dream to clean at an awesome price!
I would love to see the next size up... for when the family comes home for holidays!

    I recommend this product.

  • Very useful!

I have used this pot so many times since I received it. It just seems to be the perfect size for so many things I make. I like that it is a deep pot. It is very strong and sturdy and I feel it will last a lifetime. The two different size drainage holes are very useful and easy to use. Also good value for the price.

    I recommend this product.

  • Straining with a little effort

This pot is the right size and shape; the only limitation is that you have to hold the cover on the strain the pasta or whatever else you cook in it. Not terrible and I like it's other advantages - shape, size and non-stick.

    I recommend this product.

  • Pretty good...

Works great...but it's a little heavy for me when full. It would have been great if it had a little handle on the side, to balance the weight better. Overall, it's a good product.

    I recommend this product.

Very satisfied... purchased this to replace a similar Farberware straining saucepan. This one seems better built and heavier.

  • great all purpose pan

I had a similar one, but the nonstick stuff was not cutting it. This one is great. I am a huge fan of the lid w/ holes and would have a very hard time living w/o it. I do just about everything in it--noodles, rice, veggies, you name it. Handles could be a bit bigger, fatter...would be harder for someone w/ limited grip or arthritis to hold and drain...using mitts would not work w/ the lid handle unless you just held the glass part. Overall good product.

    I recommend this product.

  • Great pot for everyday cooking

This pot is great for my family of 4. Pasta, mashies, sauces, etc. I love the straining lid, which saves me a step for my pasta and potatoes. I use this pot almost every day.

  • Handy and practical!

This piece is what I believe to be the new necessity piece for a cookware set just like a skillet or stockpot! What a cinch to be able to cook and strain with ust one piece and not have to worry about pouring the contents into a drainer and not spilling it or splattering hot liquids on you! Great for pasta, etc.

    I recommend this product.

I really thought the pan was great value for the price (and even for a higher price). I would have given it 5 stars, but I was really hoping for a pan that was a bit more shallow and wider.

    I recommend this product.

  • The pot is very tall, which is nice to avoid boil overs. I really like the drainholes on both sides of the lid. One side has large drainholes and one side has small drainholes. Great pot for pasta for two.
