This Wusthof 3-in. Spear Point Paring Knife is designed for use by the home cook, based on the design input of several professional chefs, and it is the perfect tool for dicing, peeling and mincing. The super-sharp blade of this knife is forged from a solitary piece of high-carbon special alloyed German stainless steel, so it is naturally resistant to staining and corrosion. The blade is crafted using Precision Edge Technology, a special technique that creates a blade that is amazingly sharp and that will retain its edge for 30 percent longer between honing. The edge is honed by hand, so it is super sharp and easy to maintain. The bolster of this knife is precision forged for balance and heft that allow for effortless cutting, even when tackling tougher cutting jobs. The knife features full-tang construction, so the blade extends through the length of the handle for added control and handling during use. The handle is made from durable polymer material and is riveted in three places to permanently secure the handle and the blade together. The knife is etched with the trident logo and Wusthof name, both of which are your guarantee that the knife is of the finest quality.

For small cutting jobs, this is a wonderful knife. It's almost always out on my cutting board, it's used so often. I've had it for years, and recently gave one as a gift to someone who just learned the joys of GOOD cutlery! Quality shows in how this knife feels in the hand, and the ability to stand up to years of constant use. Holds its edge well, and sharpens like a dream. Have been a Wustof fan for many years, adding to the collection from time to time, because of this.
Have used this knife a number of times already and it is just what I wanted. It practically cuts before you touch the item you're cutting! The price was absolutely unheard of! I will be a regular cooking.com customer!
I like it; I got it because I wanted a very short blade for good control in fine work or small items. It was the only 3" knife I could find, & I had looked in several shops as well as on line. I don't know if it's the same quality as the old Wusthof knives, but so far so good.
