The knives are very sharp but they have thin blades that do not go all the way through the handle. These are cheaper in price and construction than the regular Classics.
An excellent value for the kitchen enthusiest looking to save a few dollars but still own a knife with the Wusthof name. These are slightly less sturdy that some of the individual paring knives available. Still a good choice for the family cook.
Nice little light duty knives. The tang does not go the full length of the handle, as in the higher grade Wusthof knives, but for use as paring knives, that shouldn't be a problem.

I bought them as a gift for a grandson who has enrolled in culinary school. I think the knives look fine, but am going to give him the opportunity to return them if he feels they will not serve his needs. Knives are a very personal tool!! Thanks for your help. LizO In reference to your later questions, I am presently in a wheelchair, having broken my femur 1.5 years ago. Consequently I do not do much cooking at present. My daughter, who lives with me does most of our cooking. We are a family who cares about cooking and try new things often. I'm hoping the grandson will pick up the family interests!
I bought these knives because I love Wusthof knives. But, these are not the Wusthof I know and love. These are a lightweight version of the good stuff. If I had known that, I would not have purchased them. I'm not a happy cook using this set. They will probably reside in a drawer, not in the countertop knife block for everyday use. Am very disappointed.
I used these knives the first week I had them and am very happy with my purchase. The price was great and what I could afford. As with every good knife I own, I treat these with care - only hand wash and sharpen weekly. You could easily pay more, but these are great quality and I was happy to get a better price through food network.
My daughter and I both love to cook. In the past several years we have purchased many paring knives and we both agree that no other brand compares to these. They are the most durable and easy to handle and we haven't used any other brand since we purchased these. Carolyn J Norder
I had ordered this set for myself some time ago. When I took one of the knives along to a family gathering, one daughter commented, "this is a really sharp little knife. I like it!" Another daughter latched on to it and has yet to get it back to me. The most recent set ordered was a gift to the daughter who said my knife was sharp. If I ever hope to have my knife returned, I may have to order third set as a gift to the other daughter. Peggy Tutt
The knives are excellent. They are so sharp it is unbelievable. I have used wusthof knives for about thirty sing the original ones. The price for these knives was the best I have seen. I paid more for the original paring knife thirty some years ago.
