Use the Messermeister 3-pc. Pro-Touch Peeler Trio in your kitchen, and you'll never look at peelers in quite the same way again. This set of three peelers includes a fine-edge, serrated and julienne peeler, which all play different roles in the kitchen. The fine-edge peeler takes the skins off of firm fruits and vegetables, such as potatoes, carrots, apples and pears, while the serrated peeler is the perfect choice when peeling softer foods, such as peaches and tomatoes. Use the julienne peeler to create thin julienne slices of cheese, chocolate, cucumbers or any firm food that you want to use as a garnish or to add texture to a dish. The oversized soft-grip handles come in three different colors so that you can easily distinguish the one you need from the rest of the set. A cutout at the bottom of the handle lets you hang up the peelers when not in use. Messermeister insists on quality in all of its products, so you know you are buying kitchen tools that will last.
Best Used For:
Pull out the fine-edge peeler when you're ready to make a potato gratin, apple pie or roasted butternut squash. The serrated peeler is the way to go when peach cobbler or homemade tomato sauce is on the menu. Use the julienne peeler to make zucchini noodles, carrot salad or spicy pad Thai.
Different color handles ensure you choose the right peeler for the task
Swivel heads automatically adjust to the surface you are peeling
I had the black peeler by the same company, I gave that one to my boyfriend and upgraded to the set. I bought a set for my brother and his wife and my parents. Mom says that they a perfect for peeling lemons for lemoncello. I peeled sweet potatoes with ease. The ergonomics of the tools are unbelievable.
These are much sharper than the old peeler that I had, and the option of having three different types is really nice when you want to do something a little different (such as peel a softer food). I wasn't sure that I would use the other two (serrated and julienne peelers) very much, but so far I've used them more than I expected.
